Dispatch Episode 6 Walkthrough

Spoiler Warning: This guide contains full spoilers for Episode 6 choices and outcomes.
Dispatch Episode 6 is one of the shortest chapters in the game. You get a single dispatch shift, and a long run of dialogue. It also has six hacking minigames before the credits roll.
Most of the dialogue is flavour, but eight picks are not. They move Robert’s hidden counters, and those counters decide who he ends the season with and how the game scores him as a mentor.

Every Important Choice in Episode 6
The table below is the short version, and the rest of this guide walks the episode scene by scene.
| Scene | Pick this | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Infirmary, with Royd | I believe in you | Royd remembers it, relationship goes up |
| Infirmary, with Chase | Do you think she likes me? | +2 Sweet Exit Counter (Invisigal route only) |
| Party, after the surprise | Why’d you do all this? or Thanks guys | +1 Robert Mentor Counter |
| Party, Invisigal’s plan | We go tonight or Make a plan first | +1 Sweet Exit Counter and +1 Robert Mentor Counter |
| Party, the argument | He doesn’t mean that or Back off, Chase! | +1 Sweet Exit Counter and +1 Robert Mentor Counter |
| Party, after the punch | You okay, Chase? or Everybody out | +1 Hero Counter |
| Balcony, with Chase | It’s the right thing to do | Chase remembers it |
| The four scored dock hacks | Succeed on all of them | Up to +6 Robert Mentor Counter |
The Sweet Exit Counter is what the game tracks behind the Invisigal storyline. The Robert Mentor Counter is the mentor score that gets read back at you much later. Neither one shows up on screen, which is why most players wander through this episode with no idea they lost points during the party.
What Changes Based on Your Episode 5 Identity Choice
Episode 6 opens right after the bar. Whether you said “I’m Robert” or “I’m Mecha Man” changes several scenes, and one of them costs you a hero for the whole shift.
- If you kept the secret, only Invisigal, Royd, Chase and Beef turn up for the suit test. Royd shoves the stuck door open himself.

- If you told them, the entire team is there. They had a bet running on which hero you were, and Prism wins it because she guessed you had no powers at all. Malevola opens a portal for Royd instead of letting him wrestle the door.
- Flambae’s behaviour at the party flips completely. Kept the secret, he shows up and yells “Whazaaaaaup” at you like the frogs. Told the truth, he opens with a punch to your face, then explains he might keep doing that now and then to work off the hatred.
- Told the truth already? Then Chase has nothing to reveal at the party. Kept it secret, and he drops it in front of everyone mid-argument. Malevola’s reaction is basically “Wait, Robert’s Mecha Man?” and the moment passes.
- Flambae is missing from the dispatch shift if you revealed your identity. One fewer body on a shift you join halfway through.
For what that choice does across the rest of the season, see our Episode 5 walkthrough.
Royd’s Lab: The Suit Test
Chase asks what he missed last night. Your options depend on how Episode 5 ended:
- There was a bar fight
- You missed 3 am tacos
- We had a nice night (secret kept) or Flambae tried to kill me (identity revealed)
None of these matter. Pick whichever reads funniest to you.
Then you choose a pose for the suit test: SALUTE, FLEX or SUPERHERO POSE. This one only changes the animation in the cutscene that follows. If you fistbumped Royd back in Onboard, he returns it here. Skip it then, and he leaves you hanging.
The test fails. Robert wakes up in the infirmary.
The Infirmary
Royd is wrecked because he cannot recreate the Astral Pulse. You reply with:
- I believe in you (Royd remembers it and your relationship improves)
- We’ll take a break
- Just a minor setback
Take the first one. Royd is the closest thing Robert has to a friend who asks for nothing, and the other two land flat.
Once he’s gone, Chase corners you about Invisigal. He knows something is happening and says he’ll have to hate her twice as hard to balance out your feelings. What you can say depends on your Episode 4 date:
| Option | Available when | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| I’m warming up to her | Always | No change |
| Do you think she likes me? | You went to the movies with Invisigal | +2 Sweet Exit Counter |
| It’s strictly professional | You had dinner with Blonde Blazer | No change |
| She’s challenging | Always | No change |
“Do you think she likes me?” is the single biggest counter swing in the episode, and it’s easy to miss because it sits in a conversation that feels like small talk. On the Invisigal route, take it.

Chase remembers whatever you say. In practice I never saw it come back in a big way, but the game does flag it.
The Episode 6 Dispatch Shift
There’s only one shift this episode, and you join it midway. Some calls are already running when the board loads, so send someone out immediately or you’ll miss one before you’ve finished reading.
Several calls have a marked bonus threshold. Hit the stat listed and you get extra XP on top of the completion reward.
| Call | Send | Stat check |
|---|---|---|
| On Standby | Golem or Invisigal | Mobility and Charisma |
| Cat Sitter Wanted | Golem | Golem solves it with Make a new friend. Otherwise Stand your ground (Vigor) or Run. Just run, then Love bomb it (8 Charisma), Bribe it with treats (Intellect) or Wrestle the tiger (Combat) |
| Housekeeping | Prism, Golem or Invisigal | Mobility, with 8+ Charisma for bonus XP |
| Cyberbully | Robert | Hacking minigame |
| #1 Phenoma-Fan | Punch Up and Coupe, or Phenomaman | Combat and Vigor, some Mobility |
| Haunting on Cravens Ave | Sonar and Malevola | Malevola has Phone a friend. Sonar needs Investigate the pipes (7 Intellect) or Calm the homeowner (7 Charisma) |
| Roast of Mayor Yao | Prism or Sonar | Charisma and Intellect |
| Red Alert | Punch Up and Coupe, or Sonar and Malevola, or Flambae and Prism | Combat and Vigor, 8+ Charisma for bonus XP |
| Hero Training | Any hero sitting idle | None |
| LARP Gone Wrong | Any single hero | Rogue (7 Mobility), barbarian (7 Combat), bard (7 Charisma) or knight (7 Vigor) |
| Yachtie Afterparty | Invisigal and Golem | Everything except Charisma, 8+ Mobility for bonus XP |
| Delivery Bots | Phenomaman, Golem or Sonar in beast mode | Vigor and Mobility, 6+ Vigor for bonus XP |
| Melt the Ice | Flambae | Flambae earns 200% XP on success |
| Break the Ice | Golem plus Coupe or Malevola | Combat and Vigor. The whole Z-Team earns XP |
| Shipment Down | Invisigal and Golem, or Punch Up and Coupe | Vigor and Mobility, 6+ Intellect for bonus XP |
| Reprogram the Bots | Prism and Flambae, or Sonar and Invisigal, or Waterboy | Intellect and Mobility. Stay under the Combat limit of 4 |
| Destroy the Bots | Punch Up and Coupe, or Phenomaman | Combat and Vigor |
| Sewer Surveyance | Sonar | Sonar has Find common ground as hybrids. Otherwise Engage in diplomatic relations (Intellect) or Win them over with kindness (8 Charisma), with Protect the Mole People (8 Vigor) as a fallback |
Two things to know:
Destroy the Bots only appears if you fail Reprogram the Bots. Plenty of guides list them side by side as if you get both. You don’t. Reprogram is the Intellect and Mobility route with a Combat dead zone, and the game hands you the smash-it option as a consolation prize.
Cat Sitter Wanted is where reported stat numbers stop agreeing. Some sources put Bribe it with treats at 5 Intellect, others at 8, and Wrestle the tiger gets listed under both Vigor and Combat. Send Golem and the whole question goes away, since Make a new friend resolves the call on its own.
Cyberbully is a hacking minigame rather than a hero assignment.
Robert’s Apartment and the Party
The shift ends and Robert goes home to talk at Beef about whether he still wants to be Mecha Man:
- I don’t wanna die in the suit
- Z-Team’s more important
- I worked hard to be Mecha Man
Beef does not judge, and nobody else is listening. Free pick.
Then the team breaks in with a surprise house-warming party. First set of lines is pure flavour. What are you doing here?, This is breaking and entering, or I’m in my underwear.

The second set is scored:
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Why’d you do all this? | +1 Robert Mentor Counter |
| You’re sure this’ll work? | No change |
| Thanks guys | +1 Robert Mentor Counter, plus relationship with Invisigal and Royd |
“Thanks guys” is the one I’d take. Same counter value as the first option, and it also nudges two relationships.
Who You Dance With
More guests arrive and someone pulls you onto the floor. You don’t choose this, the game reads your history:
- Blonde Blazer, if you kissed her in Episode 4 or agreed to a second date in Episode 5
- Invisigal, if you went to the movies with her in Episode 4, or pumped the brakes with Blazer in Episode 5
Whoever you dance with here is a reliable signal of who Robert ends the season with. If it isn’t the person you wanted, that’s your cue to look at the romance options before Episode 7.
Invisigal’s Plan
She’s pinned down the Astral Pulse location and wants to move tonight.
| Option | Sweet Exit | Mentor |
|---|---|---|
| We go tonight | +1 | +1 |
| This is out of our league | -1 | -1 |
| Make a plan first | +1 | +1 |
“We go tonight” backs Invisigal and costs you with Blazer. “Make a plan first” does the reverse. Mechanically they’re identical on the counters, so pick by relationship. The middle option is the only genuinely bad answer in the set, and it’s phrased so reasonably that a lot of people walk into it.
The Argument
Chase tells Invisigal she isn’t a hero, and it escalates fast.
| Option | Sweet Exit | Mentor |
|---|---|---|
| He doesn’t mean that | +1 | +1 |
| Everybody calm down | -1 | -1 |
| Back off, Chase! | +1 | +1 |
Same shape as before. Neutrality is punished twice. The game seems to want Robert to have a spine here, whichever side he lands on.

If Chase reveals your identity at this point, that’s the Episode 5 secret coming due. Invisigal then decks him and leaves.
After the Punch
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| So, shots? | +1 Antihero Counter |
| You okay, Chase? | +1 Hero Counter |
| Everybody out | +1 Hero Counter |
This is a straight morality pick, so choose based on the ending you’re chasing. Our all endings guide covers where the Hero and Antihero counters land.
The party breaks up. If you romanced Blazer, she kisses you on the cheek on her way out. Flambae arrives right after, in one of the two moods described earlier.
The Balcony Talk
You find Chase outside. The first set of lines does nothing, Well, that’s creepy, You punishing yourself?, or That’s a red zone.
Then he asks why you help people:
- Just how I’m wired
- Makes me feel good
- It’s the right thing to do
The third answer improves your relationship with Chase, and he remembers it. Given where the episode goes about four minutes later, it’s worth taking.

The Five Dock Hacking Sequences
Your PC pings. Invisigal went after the Astral Pulse alone, and the only way to help her is through five hacking boards at the dock.
The first one is unscored. The other four move your mentor counter in both directions:
| Sequence | Success | Failure |
|---|---|---|
| 1- Astral Pulse location | No change | No change |
| 2- Locked door | +1 Robert Mentor Counter | -1 Robert Mentor Counter |
| 3- Speaker tower | +2 Robert Mentor Counter | -2 Robert Mentor Counter |
| 4- Crane | +2 Robert Mentor Counter | -2 Robert Mentor Counter |
| 5- Safe | +1 Robert Mentor Counter | No change |
That’s a twelve-point swing between a clean run and a total collapse, which makes this stretch the heaviest single block of mentor scoring in the episode. You get three lives per board, and the last two get genuinely nasty with multiple Antiviruses on patrol.
There’s an accessibility option for unlimited hacking attempts, and turning it on is the sensible call for a first run. The H4ck3d by R0b3rt achievement wants you to succeed on every hacking level in the game with limited lives, so unlimited attempts locks you out of it. Episode 6 contributes two entries to that list: Cyberbully during the shift, and the dock sequences here. The achievement was widely believed to be bugged after launch, since nobody could unlock it, and a later patch fixed it.
How Episode 6 Ends
However well you hack, the ending is fixed. Invisigal loses the fight with Shroud, and Chase burns his powers one last time to pull her out. He drops. There’s no dialogue option, no stat check and no earlier choice that changes it.

Whether Chase survives is a longer conversation, and Episode 7 is where you find out.
Best Picks for Each Path
Maximum mentor score: Thanks guys → We go tonight or Make a plan first → He doesn’t mean that or Back off, Chase! → It’s the right thing to do, then clear all four scored hacks.
Invisigal route: Do you think she likes me? in the infirmary, then We go tonight and Back off, Chase! at the party.
Blonde Blazer route: Make a plan first, and avoid siding openly with Invisigal during the argument.
Hero run: You okay, Chase? or Everybody out after the punch.
Antihero run: So, shots?
Episode 7 picks up straight from that final shot, and it’s where the season’s real fork sits. Head back to our full Dispatch walkthrough for the rest of the episodes.
