ROB RUN Raid Guide: How to Raid and Defend Bases

ROB RUN raid plans can fall apart right at the front door. A Decoder gives you a shot at another player’s hideout, but the Security System won’t stay compromised forever. The owner can repair it and cut off your access, leaving you with a lot less loot than you hoped for. Some robbery, huh?
There’s also the Federal Raid, which wipes server progress every seven days. That’s a different problem entirely. Before you go after someone else’s stash, it helps to know how raids work and what keeps your own hideout safe.

How to Raid a Base in ROB RUN
Every raid starts with the Security System on your target building. Use a Decoder on its panel and complete the hack to get temporary access inside.
That access has its limits. It applies to the structure you’ve breached, not every building on the property. And the owner doesn’t have to sit back and watch you clean the place out. A repair to the Security System can revoke your access.

So I guess that’s pretty important before going after a hideout full of valuables. Getting through the security is one problem. Getting away with the loot is another.
If you’re still getting used to Looty Bay, our ROB RUN guide covers the basics before you risk your gear on a raid.
ROB RUN Decoders: How They Work
Decoders aren’t ordinary vendor stock. They’re scarce enough that you can’t count on buying one whenever you feel like raiding someone’s place.
There’s no established, guaranteed farming location or universal Decoder requirement for every target. The cost of a breach also depends on the defenses you’re up against. Fuses make the hack demand more time and resources. Make sure not to treat a Decoder like something you can afford to waste.
What Can You Steal During a ROB RUN Raid?
Hideouts serve as storage for stolen goods, which makes them an obvious target if you’re after someone else’s valuables.
A successful Decoder hack gives you temporary access to a building, but it doesn’t hand over ownership of the entire property. That’s a much bigger job.
Completely taking over a base requires an extremely rare item obtained through loot. Such a takeover can include the structures themselves. Furniture is part of the deal too, and even vehicles parked on the property can be seized.
That’s quite a haul for a robbery. Unfortunately for would-be thieves, it isn’t something a regular Decoder breach can pull off.
Can You Steal Cars During a ROB RUN Raid?
If you’re only after what’s in the trunk, you have another option. Buy a Lockpick from the Black Market and use it to open another player’s vehicle trunk. Police cars aren’t exempt either.
Just don’t mistake trunk access for vehicle ownership. To claim a vehicle parked inside another player’s property, you’d need the separate full-base takeover mechanic.
How to Defend Your Base From Raids in ROB RUN
A fancy hideout won’t do you much good if someone can walk in and empty it. You need to put some thought into security before spending everything on the place.
Fuses are a good place to start. Install them in your Security System to make a breach more expensive and time-consuming for the attacker. They won’t make your base invincible, but they do give intruders a tougher job.

Defense modules help in a different way. They alert your allies when the property comes under attack, so your crew has a chance to respond.
If your Security System gets hacked, you can repair it to cut off the intruder’s access. That gives the owner a way to fight back without relying entirely on a gunfight.
Does ROB RUN Have Offline Raid Protection?
I wouldn’t trust the logout button to protect a stash worth stealing. ROB RUN doesn’t promise automatic protection for an unattended hideout. The defenses you install matter, especially if nobody’s around to deal with a breach.
Fuses can make an attack harder to pull off, while defense modules can alert your allies. Neither is a guarantee that someone won’t get inside, but they’re better than leaving your property poorly protected.
How to Protect Your Money and Loot From ROB RUN Raids
There’s a pretty good reason to visit Looty Bay Bank before someone comes after your savings. Physical cash can be stolen or confiscated. Money held in your bank account, however, is protected from other players until the next Federal Raid.
If you need more cash before your next raid, our ROB RUN money guide covers the different ways to earn it.
You’ll need to be a Civilian to open an account. After that, use the Laundering Desk at your base to process cash for the bank. It takes time, so don’t expect instant protection the moment you start the process.

Stolen goods aren’t quite as easy to secure. Lenny’s storage accepts cash, not stolen merchandise. Your hideout is where you can keep that loot, but another thief can raid it.
Personally, I’d rather leave my savings at the bank than give someone with a Decoder an unexpected bonus.
ROB RUN Federal Raid: What Resets Every 7 Days?
Despite the name, the Federal Raid isn’t a regular attack on your hideout. It’s the server wipe that happens every seven days.
When it hits, your plots disappear along with your bases. Weapons and cash reset too. Accumulated progress contributes to jail time and authority under the wipe system.
You do get to keep some things. Your cosmetics survive, as does your player name. Tutorial progress carries over. Your settings remain intact, and accumulated jail time stays with your account.
There’s one last detail worth remembering: money in Looty Bay Bank is safe from thieves, but it doesn’t survive the server wipe.
A regular raid puts your stored valuables at risk. The Federal Raid resets the whole cycle, regardless of how much you’ve invested in your hideout.
So enjoy that fancy base while you’ve got it. The seven-day clock doesn’t care how much you spent on the furniture.
