Which Game Is Hiding the Bomb in Dispatch? (Nostalgically Yours Guide)

The bomb in Dispatch’s Nostalgically Yours call sits inside The Wolves Inside Us. Send Flambae on the mission and pick his exclusive line, “Incinerate the bomb and the game,” and the call resolves instantly, no stat check needed. If Flambae isn’t free, you can still clear it. Destroying the bomb takes 7 Combat, deactivating it takes 7 Intellect.
That covers the short version. Here’s the full breakdown, plus how this call ties into the Brainteaser villain later in Episode 4.
What You Will Read:
Pick “The Wolves Inside Us” From the Game List
Nostalgically Yours shows up during the first shift of Episode 4 (Restructure). A store owner calls in about a box of retro games that just arrived, and one of the cases has a bomb rigged inside it. Up to three heroes can be sent on the job, but whoever you choose sees the same setup: three game titles, and no hints about which one is dangerous.

The list has three titles on it. Manbomber, Jasper’s 2.5D Adventure 2: The Return, and The Wolves Inside Us. The first two are red herrings. The Wolves Inside Us is the one to pick. It’s a strange choice on paper, since Manbomber has the word “bomb” sitting right there in the title, but the game plays it straight instead of going for the obvious joke.
Send Flambae to Skip the Skill Check
Flambae is the hero you want on this call if he’s available. His fire powers let him absorb heat, and once you’ve selected the right game, he unlocks a dialogue option to incinerate the bomb along with the case it’s hidden in. Nobody gets hurt, and the mission ends without rolling a single stat.
Keep Flambae free during the first half of your shift if you’re planning around this one. He’s a popular pick for a reason, and other calls will try to grab him first if you’re not paying attention.
Alternative Skill Checks (No Flambae?)
Without Flambae, you’re choosing between two ways to handle the bomb once the correct game is picked:
| Option | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Destroy the bomb | 7 Combat |
| Deactivate the bomb | 7 Intellect |
Sonar and Prism both cover this well if their stats lean the right way. Check their sheets before committing, since either check fails outright if the number isn’t there.

What Happens If You Pick the Wrong Game
Nothing, really. A wrong guess just kicks you back to the same three-game screen so you can try again. Some guides claim a bad pick locks you out of the mission for good, but that’s not what happens here. Take your time and pick The Wolves Inside Us whenever you’re ready; there’s no timer and no hidden penalty for a second or third attempt.

Nostalgically Yours Is Part of the Brainteaser’s Puzzle
This call doesn’t end when the bomb does. Nostalgically Yours is one of three missions, alongside Theatrically Yours and Comically Yours, that the Brainteaser villain quizzes you on near the end of your first shift. He’ll ask which game the bomb was hiding in, and the answer is the same one you already picked here: The Wolves Inside Us.
There’s a small nod buried in that title, too. The Wolves Inside Us plays off The Wolf Among Us, the Telltale game. AdHoc Studio was founded by former Telltale developers, including the writers and director behind that exact game. It’s a fitting callback for a studio that clearly hasn’t stopped thinking about it.
