Dispatch Episode 1 Walkthrough

Spoiler Warning: This guide contains full spoilers for Episode 1 choices and outcomes.
Dispatch doesn’t waste your time and drops you in the middle of narrative immediately. The choices in first few minutes, define your heroic character. It’s your call to be a merciful hero or a ruthless hero. In addition of this, your interaction with Blonde Blazer in this episode can increase the chance to a romance relationship or completely ruin it. As the first part of our complete Dispatch walkthrough, this guide considers all dialogues and the consequences for you to have a great start.
What we cover here:
The Opening: Dad Questions and The Interrogation
The game starts with Robert conversation on the floor. The initial questions asked about your father are anecdotal and have no consequences.
- I love my dad.
- Didn’t know him well.
- He’s gone.
After that, you face the first important morality choice when you’ve held the Soothing Goon off the balcony. It determines what kind of hero your character will be:
- LET HIM DROP (Antihero Choice)
- PULL HIM BACK (Hero Choice)

If you drop him, the story won’t change so much, but your cruelty will be mentioned in later dialogues.
Hacking Sequence and Boss Fight Guide
Here you will watch a cinematic and within it, you should do some QTEs (Quick Time Events) in the interactive mode. They are easy, like pressing a button or holding button and move the mouse. After that you will get a tablet and a hacking minigame starts. It’s simple too: use the directions buttons to move the cube. In some spots which has a hammer on them, you should build or destroy a path by doing the directions sequences. At the final spot you press a button and gets the code.
Then you find the location of Shroud but he is not there and you see Goon there. Here is a dialogue choice:
- It’s over, Shroud. (+ Merciful)
- Prepare to die. (+ Ruthless)
- I’m here to f *** you up. (+ Merciful)
Then you must choose how to finish him:
- PUNT
- STOMP

Choosing between PUNT or STOMP only changes the cutscenes animation and has no long-term effect.
After that, there are some more QTEs and a non-important dialogue to Toxic:
- Bullsh*t.
- IGNORE HIM.
- You’re bluffing.
The Press Conference
In Press Conference, you will face 3 questions that the first and second one doesn’t impact on something. But the third one about your father, impacts on your reputation:
Question 1: Do you have anything to say to your fans?
- I did my best.
- Thank you.
- It was all for you.
Question 2: Are you retiring?
- Pretty much.
- Not yet.
Question 3: How disappointed would your dad be if he were here right now?
- Answer. (Increase Reputation / Hero Choice)
- Leave. (Reputation stays the same / Hero Choice)
- Attack. (Decrease Reputation / Antihero Choice)

Bar Fight and Meeting Blonde Blazer
In the outside, you see some thieves stealing from a shop. There will be some interactions with them:
First Interaction:
- That’s pretty disrespectful.
- Put it down and leave.
- I was watching that.
Second Interaction:
- I’m Mech Man.
- Someone with nothing to lose.
- Honestly, not sure anymore.
Combat Choice:
- PUNCH WITH LEFT (Successful hit)
- PUNCH WITH RIGHT (Unsuccessful)
They start hitting you and Blond Blazer comes to save you. She offers to fix your arm:
- I’d prefer a professional.
- Have you done this before?
- I can do it myself.

In the bar, there are three dialogues with Blond Blazer. The second one is important in you relationship:
Dialogue 1:
- Rough day?
- That feels like a challenge.
- Impressive.
Dialogue 2 (Major Choice – Relationship):
- I like helping people. (Increase Relationship)
- I don’t know. (Decrease Relationship)
- Only thing I’m good at. (No Change)
Dialogue 3:
- Sounds intriguing.
- Hopefully nothing scandalous.
- A bar proposition?
Here you meet Flambae. Aside naming him which is just for fun, the way you react and fight him is important:
Naming Flambae:
- Mr. Wet Ponytail.
- Dr. Don’t Do Sh*t.
- Sunglasses at Night Guy.
Combat Choice:
- WATER. (Hero Choice / You extinguish his fire and humiliate him.)
- ALCOHOL. (Antihero Choice / He start burning and rans.)

Then outside the bar, you should explain what happened there to Blonde Blazer:
- Guy fell down.
- Extinguished a situation / Got fired up. (Changes based on Water/Alcohol choice)
- Made a little mess.
The Billboard Scene: Romance Decision
Now, Blonde Blazer takes you up on a billboard and you will have four dialogues there next to her:
Dialogue 1:
- Thanks for helping me.
- I really needed this.
- Sorry about the spit thing.
Dialogue 2, Romance Choice: It is the most important scene of episode 1 for those looking for romance in Dispatch. When the atmosphere gets emotional, you have a big opportunity:
- KISS HER. (Increase Romantic Relationship)
- LET THE MOMENT PASS.
If you kiss her, it is the start of a romance route with Blonde Blazer. If you pass the moment, recovering the romance with her gets hard.
Dialogue 3:
- This is an interview?
- My suit was destroyed.
- Not exactly professional.
Dialogue 4:
- When do I start?
- What if I say no?
- Dispatch heroes?
