Which Wire Should We Cut in Dispatch?

You need to cut the yellow wire to defuse the bomb safely. During the S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb mission in Dispatch Episode 8, the game gives you a risky choice. You will see a timer ticking down. If you want the easiest and most reliable solution, pick the yellow option.

Best Choice in S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb Mission

The S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb has three choices. You can cut the blue wire, the red wire, or the yellow wire.

Your heroes need specific stats to pass these checks. If you try to cut the red wire or the blue wire, the game forces a Vigor check with a requirement of around 5. These checks are harder to pass and carry more risk.

However, the yellow wire is a very simple Intellect test. The requirement is just 1 Intellect, which means almost any character you send will pass it easily. This makes it the absolute safest route to protect your city HP. If you pick the right hero for the job, you will clear the mission.

What Happens If You Cut the Wrong Wire?

Sometimes you might pick the wrong option or lack the needed stats. If that happens, you will see a message saying you have 10 seconds left. The mission does not instantly end in a game over. Instead, the game offers three alternative choices based on the heroes you have available.

Remember that a failed attempt costs you some city HP. Try to have the right characters ready to minimize the damage. Here is a table showing the backup options:

Hero / Stat RequirementAction
Phenomaman (if you recruited him in Episode 4)Send the bomb into space
GolemAbsorb the blast
Any hero with Mobility 8 (Flambae, Invisigal, or others)Run it to the ocean

Known Bugs During the Sewer Bomb Mission

Episode 8 has a few technical issues that players frequently report. You might run into these glitches while dealing with the Z-Team and managing your shift in Synergy. Here are the most common bugs related to this mission:

  • Depressed Phenomaman: Phenomaman becomes depressed if any call fails or is missed anywhere on the map. This happens even if he was not part of that specific call. To prevent this bug, make sure you complete all active calls before they expire.
  • Dispatch Soft-Lock: In Episode 8, some players report that a dispatch call gets stuck and never completes, locking heroes out for the rest of the shift. If this happens, the only known fix is to restart the game.

In the end, make sure you pick the yellow option to pass the Intellect check safely. Keep an eye on your team’s stats, and you will save the city without much trouble.
