ROB RUN Money Guide: How to Earn, Sell & Bank Cash

Money is the central concept in ROB RUN. Everything you do in this game is to earn more money, mostly in illegitimate ways. There is a server wipe every seven days that forces you to start all over again. So here’s the guide that teaches you how to earn money and get on your feet fast in ROB RUN.
Ways to make money:
How to Make Money Fast in ROB RUN
The very first place you can try to rob and earn money is a convenience store. After talking to Lenny and getting the introduction, rent a car for free, find the shop you want to rob, put on the masks (press F), and jump in. Keep the clerk at gunpoint, destroy the cameras, and cash in.

This is the easiest heist you can pull off. If you feel like you need more money yet and still don’t feel confident, you can go dumpster scavenging, which isn’t the greatest thing you can do, but hey, we do what we can to survive.
Where to Sell Loot in ROB RUN
There are two main places to sell loot in ROB RUN. You can either find a fence van (Look for a dollar sign on your map) around the map and sell your loot there, or try to locate an available sales center and drop your loot off there.
Fence Vans vs. Sales Centers
Fence vans are for when you did a quick heist, and you want quick cash; they are around the city ready to give you money. Sales Centers give you a better price for what you offer, but you have to risk going through harder areas to reach the centers.

How to Bank and Launder Money
Unlike many other games where if you pick up money from the ground, it’s safe in your pockets until you decide to spend it, in ROB RUN, you will always be a target to other players. Money isn’t safe literally anywhere. So what can you do to get a semblance of security in this game? Open a bank account, launder money.

- Enter Looty Bay as a Civilian.
- Visit the Looty Bay Bank and open an account.
- Establish a base and use its Laundering Desk to process your cash.
- Allow the laundering process to complete.
- Access the resulting protected money through your account. You can withdraw cash from any ATM.
Can Your Money Be Stolen?
If you have hard cash on you, or you have cargo stored in your base, then yes. Other players can attack and rob you and your base. However, if you have successfully laundered money into your bank account, then that money is safe
The money laundered into a bank account can only be accessed by you and will be wiped at the end of the 7-day cycle of the game.
Best Robbery and Notoriety Strategies
Notoriety is a mechanic directly tied to your heist streak. The more heists you do, the more notorious you become. What are the effects of this? You get more money when you sell your loot to fence vans. This streak only applies to each of your visits to the city, meaning that if you leave the city perimeter, your streak resets.
However, there’s also a risk to this mechanic. When you have a higher notoriety, you have a bigger bag on you, so it attracts the attention of other players to you. The police, which is also fully operated by players, will target you first in order to confiscate your loot and earn higher bonuses.
In solo or duo mode, you start at a higher notoriety. This is an effort to balance the game for players without a clan so they can keep up with others.
How to Earn Money With Cargo and Shipments
Cargos and Shipments are another system of money-making in ROB RUN. You can be a legitimate courier and take cargo from point A and resell it at point B for a higher price and profit, or you can wait for your moment, find a valuable cargo, intercept it, and steal it away.

You can do two different things with cargo. Either sell them upfront and receive cash, or dismantle them at the cargo workshop and get their inventory, which can be items you can sell for money or upgrades for you and your base. So the choice is up to you and the cargo you have acquired.
Base Businesses for Making Money
There are currently 6 base businesses available in early access that you can build in your base for income. The first one that you can make is the cargo workshop, which allows you to dismantle the cargo you get and get the inventory. The most expensive one is the chemical lab, which costs you 110.000$ to build in your base.
These businesses allow you to produce contraband items from the (relative) safety of your base and then sell them to fencers or sell centers. As of 4th of November, this mechanic of the game got a considerable buff to make a viable choice for players to work towards.
If you want to go for a chemical lab, first you gotta unlock it through the shipments menu, then buy it at the black market and also include a Chemical Reactor (40.000$) to fully utilize the lab.
How to Make Money as a Police Officer
Being a police officer is in high demand in Looty Bay. To become a police officer, you gotta go to the Lotty Bay police station and apply for a position (if it’s available). Due to a large number of players in the game right now, you have to wait for some minutes until a position opens up.

Then you can start to patrol the city and intercept criminals, arrest them, confiscate their contraband, and become the new lawful owner of these items. However, players may try to bribe you. This is player-to-player interaction, so talk with the players and see if they are willing to give a sweet offer so you can turn a blind eye.
How the Black Market and Vendors Work
Black Market, accessed through Lenny or just your laptop, is the place where you can buy stuff for a much lower price than other locations in the game, for example, the city seller. The catch is you need to unlock many of these options through your shipment menu, mostly by upgrading your settlement serving time in jail.

How to Earn Money From Settlements and Taxes
If you start to become a big dog in the area, especially if you have a good, powerful clan, then it’s time to compete for territory and own some land. This allows you to charge rent and take part of the money that people launder on your land. The catch is you have to go in person and claim the money, and it’s not an automatic process.

Owning land doesn’t mean it stays with you until the 7-day wipe arrives. Other clans can fight over ownership and authority of the area with you and try to claim it for themselves.
Best Money-Making Strategy for Solo Players and Teams
Just like before, I’m going to give you an early, mid, and late game strategy for earning money in this game:
Early game, you should focus on smaller jobs, be a police officer, or even scavenge dumpsters if the need arises. Don’t go for big fish yet; other players might get involved, and things may get out of hand fast. For the early game, you simply don’t have the capital or the power to survive an all-out fight with several groups of players.
Mid-game, you need to focus on cargo shipments, either taking them yourself or stealing them from others. Selling or processing them is a choice you have to make, but make sure to do both; processing gives you items that are necessary for settlement improvement, items that you can’t buy on the black market.
Late game is where you max your settlement, build your guild, and gather with people to pull off bigger heists on other players’ bases, fight over territories, and earn passive income through taxation.
Does Money Carry Over After a Server Wipe?
No. After 7 days, the whole server is wiped, and you start over from scratch. All you carry over is your experience and your allies, hopefully.
The developers have stated that the duration between wipes can be subject to change as the game goes on.
