The Elemental Trail Map 1 Location

One of the treasure maps in RDR2 that you can only do after Chapter 6 is indeed the Elemental Trail treasure hunt. This hunt breaks down into three treasure maps and the reward that it gives you is not as satisfying as the rest of the treasure maps: 1 gold bar + the Crow’s Beak trinket. So, saddle up and let’s find the Elemental Trail Treasure Map 1.
The Elemental Trail Map 1 Location
To start the treasure hunt, you must head west of Tumbleweed. It’s next to the Sea of Coronado.

It’s obvious that you couldn’t have gone to the very southwest of the map. It’s story-locked. You can only access this part of the map in the epilogue. As you get to the location, there’s a corpse hanging by a rope near one of the canyons.

Shoot down the corpse and loot the map off him. You can see there’s no corpse here in the picture because I’ve done this treasure hunt already. But he’ll be there. Rest assured, this gives you the Elemental Trail Treasure Map 1.
The sketch map shows a fireplace with a chimney, with some water in the background. It’s about time we started the hunt.

The entire treasure hunt takes place in the southwest part of the map, so you don’t have to venture far from where you started the hunt. The Elemental Trail Map 1 points you to the southeast of Armadillo.
You should be looking for a location called Greenhollow, near the shore of the San Luis River. It’s also east of Lake Don Julio. So, as shown in the picture, it’s easy to spot.

There’s a fireplace with a chimney located inside a ruined settlement.

Interact with it to retrieve the Elemental Trail Treasure Map 2.
