The Elemental Trail treasure hunt in RDR2 might be one of your least favorites because of the not-so-surprising rewards it gives you: 1 gold bar and the Crow’s Beak trinket. Especially considering the amount of searching you have to do to get it. But if you’re a completionist like me who wants to experience everything the game has to offer, then let’s do this.

How to Start the Elemental Trail Treasure Hunt in RDR2
WARNING: You can do this treasure hunt only after you’ve beaten Chapter 6.
To begin the hunt for the Elemental Trail treasure, you need to travel to the very southwest of the map, which is west of Tumbleweed, just across the Sea of Coronado as shown in the picture.
When you get there, you can see there’s a corpse hanging from a piece of wood from one of the canyon walls. Get your scoped rifle out and shoot the rope the corpse is tied to so that it falls to the ground. Loot him to get the first map.
The Elemental Trail Map 1 Treasure Location
The first Elemental Trail map points to Greenhollow, which is east of Lake Don Julio. You can find this lake south of the town of Armadillo.
It’s near the San Luis River. Inside the crumbled ruin, there’s a fireplace you should search to claim the second map of the Elemental Trail treasure.
The Elemental Trail Map 2 Treasure Location
The Elemental Trail Map 2 treasure location points to the west of Tumbleweed, Benedict Point.
There’s a wooden water flume connected to a conveyor system. You’ll know it when you see it. Go to the top of the hill to access the flume. Jump on it and walk down the line. About halfway through, there’s a prompt that lets you search and find the third and final map.
The Elemental Trail Map 3 Treasure Location
For the Elemental Trail Map 3 treasure location, head southeast of Armadillo, just to the left of the letter T of New Austin on the map. As shown in the picture, enter the Coot’s Chapel cemetery.
There’s a wooden cross next to a tree. Interact with it to get the rewards for your hard work: 1 gold bar and the Crow’s Beak trinket. This marks the end of the Elemental Trail Treasure hunt.
