Gothic Remake Amulets Guide: Best Choices & Complete List

Amulets in Gothic Remake provide massive boosts to your character’s stats. In this article, I provide the complete list of amulets in Gothic 1 Remake, plus I explain which ones are the best, and when and why you should wear them. With that being said, let’s begin.
What You Will Find Here
What Are the Best Amulets in Gothic Remake?
When it comes to the absolute best late-game defense, there’s no better choice than the Amulet of Ore Skin. It gives you +15 Edge, Blunt, and Point, +10 Fire, and +8 Wind, Ice, and Energy all at the same time. In my opinion, the Amulet of Ore Skin is the absolute best amulet because it completely covers your physical and elemental gaps.

You take significantly less damage per hit. Instead of relying on a massive health pool that’s slow and annoying to heal back up, you stop the damage before it even hurts you, which is a wise strategy.
Armor vs. Health (HP): Which Amulets Are Better?
It depends entirely on what you’re fighting when it comes to choosing the right amulets.
When to Use Armor and Resistance Amulets
For everyday exploring and hunting regular monsters, standard physical armor amulets, like the Armor Amulet or Amulet of Stone Skin, completely crush health amulets.

If an enemy deals minor damage, a +15 armor boost can reduce that damage down to almost nothing. After taking just a few hits in a fight, the amount of damage you block completely outvalues a flat health bonus.
When to Use Max Health Amulets
Health items like the Amulet of Life Force (+100 Max Health) shine early in the game or when you’re fighting massive elite monsters like Trolls or Shadowbeasts. These heavy hitters deal so much damage that they can destroy you in two or three hits regardless of your armor.

In those brutal fights, having an extra 100 HP gives you the cushion to survive just one more massive swing, which gives you time to react.

How to Get the Amulet of Life Force Early (Chapter 1)
You can pull off a clever trick to grab the Amulet of Life Force right in Chapter 1 to get a massive early-game advantage. In order for that to happen, find the Shadowbeast cave located in the forest directly west of the Old Camp, just across the river.

Wait until it starts raining. Rain heavily impairs a monster’s sight and scent detection. Jump into the river and wash yourself to reduce your character’s scent. Use stealth to sneak right past the sleeping Shadowbeast. Grab the amulet off the corpse inside and walk away with an easy +100 HP boost.
