With that out of the way, let’s begin.
What you will read here
Some Quick Tips
This side quest in general has tough enemies like the Frost Shadowbeast and Tundra wolves before the temple entry. Enemies inside the temple are tough, too. There are skeleton guys that can hurt you pretty badly. The cherry on top is the Skeleton Mage boss fight. Even with full armor and maximum HP, you can still have problems there. Make sure to be prepared. Bring with you a lot of potions and have full armor and max HP.
Nefarius Quest: The Temple of Innos Location
Once you’ve acquired the side quest from Nefarius in the New Camp in Chapter 4, after the Fire Mage massacre, travel to the northern part of the Old Mine located in the picture.

When you get to the area with cut-down trees, climb the wall and head to the top.

Proceed through the cave. Jump up the next wall and stay to the right side of the cave that has torches lit in it.

Clear out the enemies ahead, then scale the wooden ladder in the back.

Climb the wall on your left and be aware of the goblin that’s waiting for you at the top.

As you’re climbing, move towards your left side before heading down.

Turn around, and jump down to your right. Take a big jump, or you can climb down the path if that’s what you’d prefer.

Now, head right. Jump over to the next climbing area and take the right path toward the light.

Walk across the bridge directly in front of you and head left. Jump up the wall to your right.

Scale the climbing wall to the top and move forward. Guess what’s ahead? More climbing!

Kill the goblins here and take the left route up toward the snowy terrain. Jump across and climb the wall. Look left to scale one final small wall.

How to Kill Tundra Wolves
Now that you’ve climbed your last wall, you can see there’s a bridge ahead of you in this snowy part of the map. Not to mention, a couple of Tundra wolves wander about. Make sure to take them out one by one so you don’t get overwhelmed. You will need a strong ranged weapon to do this safely, so make sure to equip a powerful bow.

Move straight ahead to find a fallen tree and take out the enemies in this area. I have to warn you: there’s a Frost Shadowbeast here as well, so take care of it, too.

Enter the Temple of Innos and Defeat the Skeleton Mage
Look right to find a large waterfall. Dive into the water and swim directly underneath the falls to the other side. Exit the water and enter the cave.

Head upstairs and here’s your Skeleton Mage boss fight. To quickly defeat this annoying boss, focus on the Skeleton Mage first, because he summons skeletons that can make this fight a lot harder than it needs to be.

Use hit-and-run tactics or ranged options. If you have a crossbow or any ranged spell, like Firebolt, use it. When the mage is taken care of, kill his summoned skeletons, too.
Obtain the Magic Runes and Rituals Book
After that, grab the Magic Runes and Rituals book from the center of the room and loot the chest nearby to grab the Rain of Fire rune alongside a couple of parchments and healing items.

Head left. Up the ruined steps and go into the room on your right. Walk up the rubble stairs on the right side.

Climb the ladder and turn around and walk left. To solve the Temple of Innos puzzle and open the main gate, clear out the skeletons and interact with the wooden wheel on the right wall.

Head right up the stairs and exit outside.

Loot the Innos’ Grace Amulet and Return to Nefarius
Climb over or walk around the large dome, that’s your choice. Drop down and go up the snowy stairs directly ahead. Loot the corpse at the top of the stairs to obtain the Innos’ Grace amulet.

Finally, fast travel to the New Camp and speak to Nefarius. Hand over the items to complete the quest. Upon completion, you also gain 1,000 experience points, which is a plus.

That wraps up our Gothic Remake Temple of Innos side quest. Feel free to talk about your experience or ask any question you might have.
