Where is Syra in Gothic 1 Remake? Kitchen Location & Bug Fix

Finding the Gothic 1 Remake Syra’s kitchen can be a massive pain. If you are stuck looking for her kitchen or trying to grab Snaf’s recipe, you aren’t alone. She works to the right of the practice area inside the Old Camp. Know where she is, but you can’t get through because of an invisible wall bug? Either way, don’t worry. I found the solution for you. Keep reading to learn more.

Who is Syra in the Gothic 1 Remake

Syra is a slave to the Ore Barons. She spends her days trapped in the Old Camp’s castle, where she either scrubs the floors or dances for Gomez. The Nameless Hero will get shushed if he tries talking to Syra, because she is forbidden from speaking to him.

Where is Syra in the Gothic Remake

Syra stays in the Old Camp. You need approval from Thorus and Diego first. Once you have it, you can find her on the right side of the courtyard. You will spot guys with swords in the practice area. Syra’s Kitchen is the door on the very end, to the left of that area’s entrance, after you pass Thorus.

You can also walk down along the castle wall a bit until you find a ladder to your left. This leads to the dungeon, and on the right side should be Syra’s kitchen. However, you may not always find her in the kitchen, because she sometimes sits on the bench in front of it.

The Castle Courtyard Invisible Wall Bug

Many players in the community have reported that a notorious invisible wall bug blocks their path to Syra. If you have the same problem, don’t worry. Here is the simple solution I found:

You can walk to the left of the invisible wall to slip past it. The barrier also disappears randomly. Visit the area at different times of the day if you get stuck. You can also try again at different times of the day.

How to Get Snaf’s Recipe from Syra

You need to grab this recipe for Snaf during Chapter 2. Track down Syra’s kitchen using the path mentioned above. The recipe is inside.

Warning: Don’t Break Snaf’s Quest! Wait for Snaf to actually give you the quest first. Do not steal the recipe early. If you grab it beforehand, the quest becomes ruined, and you will be unable to finish it.

I’m just blind guessing here, but another guy you may struggle to find is Cain or Bullit. If so, read my Gothic 1 Remake Caine guide to learn how to find him and finish the Lost Apprentice quest. Also, read Gothic 1 Remake Bullit to find him and take revenge!

That’s all there is to know about the Gothic 1 Remake Syra. Do you have more questions? Found another bug? Write them in the comments, and I’ll find the solution for you.

FAQ

Is Syra near Gomez in the castle?

No. She is a slave for the Ore Barons, but she hangs out in her kitchen or on the bench outside. You find her near the training grounds and dungeon ladder.

How do I fix the invisible wall bug?

Walk to the left of the bugged wall to get past it. You can also wait and try different times of day until the barrier completely disappears.

Why is Snaf’s quest broken?

You grabbed the recipe too early. You must wait for Snaf to actually give you the quest first. Stealing it beforehand locks you out of finishing it.
