Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberware Guide: All Implants for V

Cyberware is the progression mechanic in Cyberpunk 2077. These mechanical and digital implants allow you to fundamentally alter how V survives in Night City.
Following the massive 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion, the entire implant system was overhauled. Instead of relying on your clothing for defense, V’s durability and combat potential are now directly tied to the chrome installed in their body.

Main Categories of Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberware
In Cyberpunk 2077, your cybernetic enhancements are divided into distinct anatomical categories that map directly to V’s body. Rather than functioning as generic stat boosts, each slot serves a highly specific combat, defensive or traversal purpose.

Operating System
The Operating System serves as the mechanical heart of your combat build. Depending on your choice, you can hack enemies and devices using Cyberdecks and manipulate time with Sandevistans.
If you are a stealth lover like me, a Cyberdeck is essential. Hacking devices allows you to drop enemies from the shadows without them ever locating the source of the damage.
Frontal Cortex
Focused on mental augmentation, the Frontal Cortex is heavily tailored toward netrunner and Intelligence builds. These implants expand your maximum RAM, accelerate your quickhack upload times, speed up memory recovery and dramatically lower the cooldowns of your other cyberware abilities.

Arms
Arm cyberware replaces your biological limbs with concealed weaponry. This slot guarantees you always have a lethal backup weapon. This allows you to choose between Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blades, Monowire, or Projectile Launch System.
Equip Mantis blade to wreak havoc on your poor enemies. Mantis Blades in your hand can be a dreadful weapon and you can slice enemies like it is Fruit Ninja!
Skeleton
Oh, the core part of the cyberware. Your skeleton acts as the foundational structure for V’s physical durability. Implants in this category are a primary source of base Armor. They also provide substantial passive boosts to your maximum health pool and melee weapon damage.
Nervous System
The Nervous System slot is dedicated to hyper-reflexes and evasive maneuvers. Upgrading this system grants powerful, temporary time-dilation (slow-motion) effects that trigger when you perform specific actions, like dodging and aiming while sliding.

Integumentary System
Integumentary implants modify V’s skin and outer tissue to provide extreme defensive utility. Alongside high Armor ratings, this category offers damage mitigation, reactive shockwaves or electrical blasts when you take a hit and the highly sought-after Optical Camo for temporary invisibility.
Legs
Leg cyberware completely revolutionizes your mobility and changes how you explore the verticality of Night City. Depending on your installed chrome, you can unlock the ability to double jump and execute massive charged leaps
Once you can afford the double-jump or charged-jump implants, buy them immediately. Reaching high vantage points with ease fundamentally changes exploration and it makes dodging enemy attacks in a pinch incredibly simple.

Circulatory System
Acting as your internal life-support, Circulatory System implants are designed to keep you breathing under heavy fire. They offer automated healing when your health drops to critical levels, rapid stamina regeneration and even a “Second Heart” defibrillator that instantly revives you from death.
Hands
Hand implants are specialized physical interfaces designed to connect directly with your firearms. These upgrades are mandatory for specific playstyles. They unlock the homing capabilities of Smart weapons or actively calculate trajectory paths to ricochet bullets with Power weapons.

Face
Face cyberware strictly governs your Kiroshi optical implants. These visual upgrades enhance your cybernetic vision. These implants allow you to zoom in on distant threats, analyze enemy vulnerabilities, spot hidden traps and highlight hostiles through solid cover.
