Cyberpunk 2077 Shotguns: All 20 Weapons and Locations

Cyberpunk 2077 Shotguns can turn a bad situation in Night City into a very short fight. Some hit like a truck, while others can shoot through cover or track enemies. With 20 shotguns across the base game and Phantom Liberty, I wouldn’t blame you for losing track of them. Here’s every standard and Iconic shotgun, plus where to get your hands on them.

All Standard Shotguns in Cyberpunk 2077

There are nine standard shotguns in Cyberpunk 2077. You can buy them from weapon vendors or loot them from enemies, depending on the model. Some also have craftable versions.

If you prefer to get right in someone’s face, Carnage is hard to ignore. Crusher offers a much faster fire rate, while the Satara is worth a look if you’d rather shoot through cover.

All Iconic Shotguns and How to Get Them

Cyberpunk 2077 also has 11 Iconic shotguns, each with a special effect that sets it apart from its standard counterpart. Most are tied to specific quests or locations, so you can’t just walk into any gun shop and grab one.

Five of these weapons require Phantom Liberty, which means you’ll need access to Dogtown.

How to Get and Upgrade Shotguns

Standard shotguns are available through weapon vendors or enemy loot. Certain models also have blueprints you can use to craft them. Their available tiers depend on your progression, so don’t expect every shop to have the version you want right away.

Iconic shotguns are a different story. You’ll usually have to complete a quest or visit a specific location to claim one.

You can upgrade Iconic shotguns with crafting components, but standard shotguns don’t have that option. For those, you’ll need to find or craft a higher-tier version.

Power vs. Tech vs. Smart Shotgun Types in Cyberpunk 2077

Power shotguns are all about raw firepower. Their bullets can ricochet off surfaces, which makes them great for close-range fights. Personally, I’d take a Power shotgun into a cramped hallway any day.

Tech shotguns take a different approach. You can charge their shots to penetrate cover, so enemies can’t always hide behind a wall and call it a day.

Smart shotguns use guided projectiles that track enemies with Smart Link cyberware. They’re handy when precision isn’t exactly your strong suit.

All three types use Shotgun Ammo. Most fire multiple pellets per shot, although some Iconic variants break that rule. The Headsman, for example, fires a single slug.

Best Attributes and Perks for Shotgun Builds

If shotguns are your main weapons, Body is where I’d put my first attribute points.

Die! Die! Die! improves your shotgun performance, while Spontaneous Obliteration gives you a chance to instantly finish off weakened enemies. At 20 Body, Rip and Tear lets you deal extra damage by swapping between shotgun blasts and Quick Melee Attacks.

Tech shotguns can also benefit from Technical Ability perks. For Smart shotguns, Intelligence provides additional support.
