Esoteric Ebb Classes

In Esoteric Ebb, you do not pick a class from a menu. You always play as a Cleric. You are a detective working for a divine government in a strange city.
While everyone plays the same base class, your character feels unique based on how you spend your 27 attribute points. These points change your personality and dictate how you solve crimes. In this guide, we will analyze the Esoteric Ebb classes you can acquire through your decisions and dialogues.

Esoteric Ebb Classes Guide: Attribute Voices
I should note that there are no traditional sub-classes in Esoteric Ebb. Instead, you acquire a “virtual class” by choosing your own path and making decisions that define your traits and personality. In other words, the stats you prioritize determine your inner voice or chime.

Your attributes are not just numbers on a screen; they are sentient voices in your head that speak to you throughout the story. Depending on which stat is highest, a different voice will guide your actions:
| Attribute | The Voice | Investigative Style |
| Strength | The Nationalist | Uses threats and force. Good for “Bad Cop” runs. |
| Dexterity | The Rebel | Uses stealth and theft. Good for breaking into places. |
| Constitution | The Survivor | Uses physical grit. Good for staying calm under pressure. This stat helps you pass Physical Instrument checks. |
| Intelligence | The Arcanist | Uses logic and magic. High Intelligence lets you carry more spells. Marks the numbers of spells you can carry. |
| Wisdom | The Empath | Uses feelings. Helps you tell when someone is lying. This stat also empowers spell effects. |
| Charisma | The Politician | Uses charm. Helps you trick people or get them to like you. |
Esoteric Ebb Classes Tips
Beware: every stat in Esoteric Ebb has a distinct effect and you must understand how they interact. For example, Many new players attempt to create a pure mage by ignoring physical attributes and placing every point into Intelligence.

This approach often causes problems early in the game because the magic system operates in a complex way. Intelligence determines the number of spells you can prepare, but Wisdom controls the success rate of spell effects.
When Wisdom remains too low while Intelligence reaches a high level, spells fail frequently and become unreliable in combat.

Therefore, I highly recommend distributing your points across different attributes based on your playstyle. Moreover, you must remain mindful how they affect one another.
Pro-Tip: Esoteric Ebb uses a visual tree. Every time you make a decision aligned with a voice (e.g., being a Nationalist), you “grow” a branch that eventually unlocks permanent Feats. For more information, please check out Esoteric Ebb Guide: All Essential Tips and Tricks article.
