How to Get Astralym Palworld: Step-by-Step Guide

The final boss of Palworld is upon you. It is time to face Astralym and Zenara. However, for unlocking these bosses, you have to do some boring stuff that makes you wonder what I am doing here.

However, it is the routine. It must be done and there is no shortcut. If you want to know how to get Astralym Palworld, take my hand and we are off to the never-never land.

How to Get Astralym Palworld

Now let’s go and face the fate. Follow these steps and you will unlock the Astralym Palworld in the shortest time possible.

Step 1: Obtain the Echoing Flute Blueprint

Your adventure starts at the World Tree terminal, on the small Deserted Islet just off the coast.

The first time you arrive, you will discover that a mysterious energy barrier blocks the entrance.

To remove the barrier, find the nearby researcher NPC who is investigating ancient civilizations and the remains of giant whales. Speak with him until all of his dialogue is complete. He will reward you with the Echoing Flute Blueprint and mark four new locations on your world map.

Step 2: Craft the Echoing Flute and Capture Panthalus

Visit the four locations marked by the researcher and collect all of the required quest materials.

Once you have everything, return to your base and craft the Echoing Flute at a Primitive Workbench. Bring the flute back to the researcher and activate the nearby shrine. This starts a boss battle against the Panthalus, a Level 70 Water-type Pal with a large health pool, so bring Electric-type Pals like Beakon to make the fight quick and safe.

You must face Panthalus to continue the quest. If you forgot to bring Pal Spheres, you can usually find some scattered along the nearby beach. Oh, I almost forget. You have to capture Panthalus . Otherwise, the whole boss fight will be repeated.

After capturing Panthalus, speak with the researcher again to unlock the World Tree mission. You can now cross the barrier.

Step 3: Defeat the Three World Tree Guardians

After entering the World Tree region, head toward the central area where you will find a large sealed door.

On the left side of the door, there is a piece of lore. Reading it adds three new mini-boss locations to your map throughout the World Tree area.

Travel to each location and defeat all three guardians. One encounter is especially unusual, as it puts you against shadow clone versions of roughly eight different Pals. Once every guardian has been defeated, you will obtain the items needed to open the first central door.

Step 4: Collect the Eight Key Spheres from the Tower Bosses

Beyond the first door is a second, larger gate that is the entrance to the final boss area. Opening it requires eight Key Spheres.

To collect these Spheres, defeat all eight Tower Bosses in Palworld. You may have some of them. You can play on Normal difficulty, as the difficulty setting does not affect spheres rewards.

You can see the location of 7 tower bosses in below images:

tower boss 6

The first seven Key Sphere come from the original seven Tower Bosses in the base game, while the eighth is dropped by the new Tower Boss introduced in version 1.0.

Step 5: Disable the Floating Island Defense Systems

To reach the eighth Tower Boss, travel to the new floating islands (Sunreach) located at the bottom of the world map.

When you arrive, the tower entrance will be blocked by a massive whirlwind. Fly directly into the tornado to meet an NPC who explains how to disable the island’s defenses. Search the floating islands for buildings that emit blue beams of light. Interact with the terminals inside these locations to shut down each defense system.

Hear this. If a terminal is inside a tall building, skip the climb. Fly to the roof and break through the top with your weapons or Pals. Then, drop inside to reach the terminal much faster.

Step 6: Defeat Auri and Shaolong to Unlock the Final Arena

After disabling every defense terminal, the whirlwind surrounding the tower disappears. Enter the tower and challenge the new version 1.0 boss, Auri and Shaolong. They are a difficult duo, so come prepared. Defeating Auri and Shaolong rewards you with the eighth and final Key Spheres. You also will be rewarded five tech points.

Auri boss fight

Return to the World Tree. Pass through the first door and interact with the second gate. With all eight Key Spheres in your possession, the door will open. You are now in the lovely arms of Astralym and Zenara!

Astralym is a Level 80, roughly 420,000 HP boss with no elemental type. So, get yourself to Level 80 before going in.

Near the end of the battle, Astralym enters an immune phase and uses a wing-charge attack capable of instantly defeating an unprepared team.

Stay on the move. Then dodge continuously and destroy the wings and leg orbs as soon as the center charging sequence begins. For the best results, equip top-tier Paloxite energy weapons such as the Drone Launcher or Plasma Rifle. Defeating Zenara and Astralym concludes Palworld’s main story and also unlocks a Hard Mode version of the encounter for future replay.

Astralym and Zenara

Actually, the ending of Palworld is really sweet (I will not spoil anything, do not worry). When I beat Astralym and Zenara, I was surprised by the ending cutscene. I leave it to you to feel the energy of denouement.

Can We Catch Astralym? This Is the Question!

I have bad news, guys. The short answer is no. Please don’t be sad.

Astralym is currently unavailable in Palworld’s 1.0 Update. It cannot be encountered in the wild or obtained through an Alpha Boss fight. Most strangely, you cannot have it when you defeat it on either boss difficulty. Please, Pocketpair, make Astralym at least a worthy reward for our efforts in unlocking this boss fight!
