Alright friends, gather around, it’s Damien time in Hero Siege Season 10 (Ebontharn). This is a guide covering everything you need about the Act 4 boss Damien, his Uber form (Fallen Damien), the Key of Terror, locations, builds that love him, etc.
About Damien:
Hero Siege Damien Location
Damien lives at the very end of Act 4, specifically in the Altar of Lost Souls (inside the Dhorn Farum).
Just push through Act 4 like normal. Once you clear the final areas you’ll walk into his arena. He’s the classic glasses-wearing floating mage with no legs guy who’s also Satan’s kid. Classic Damien.
Damien Hero Siege Mechanics
Damien is one of the more chill Act bosses once you know the patterns. Here’s the breakdown:
- Unleashed Agony: Red bouncing balls that shotgun you if you’re too close. They bounce off walls and come back. Stay mid-range and keep moving.
- Fractured Ego: Little minions that spawn on him and spit projectiles. AoE them down ASAP.
- Pools of Agony: Ground puddles that hurt. He can drop them under you, so never stand still.
- Mask phases and Damien’s Mirrors: At certain health thresholds he swaps masks. After the second one he starts spawning mirrors. Those mirrors (and him) cast Blood Surge, big linear red beams that will melt you if multiple hit. Clear the mirrors fast.
Hell difficulty and Inferno Damien are basically the same fight with more balls, slightly tankier Egos, more pools, and higher overall numbers. No crazy new mechanics, just less free real estate and more “oops I’m dead” potential if your AoE is weak.
Pro tip: Hybrid AoE and single-target builds feel the best here. Pure single-target can get overwhelmed by mirrors and Egos.
Key of Terror Hero Siege (How to Unlock Fallen Damien)
Want the juiced-up version? You need the Key of Terror. Craft it by collecting one of each of these boss parts:
- Gurag’s Soul (Act 1)
- Death’s Sigil (Act 2)
- Anubis’ Ankh (Act 3)
- Damien’s Eye (Act 4, yes, from regular Damien)
- Karp King’s Bellybutton (Act 5)
- Satan’s Horn (Act 6)
Once you have all six, craft the Key of Terror (there’s also a Key of Infernal Terror version for higher difficulties).
Take the key to Um in the Town of Inoya and he’ll open the portal to Fallen Inoya. Clear the trash and the chains around the boss, then Fallen Damien (formerly called Uber Damien) spawns.
Season 10 note: They officially renamed him Fallen Damien so people stop mixing him up with other systems. Same fight, just new name.
Fallen Damien
Mechanics are almost identical to regular Damien, just scaled way up:
This one has way bigger bouncing balls and bigger, more dangerous pools.
Mirrors now spawn scattered around the whole arena instead of clustered on him (this is the biggest change and the main reason you need good screen-clear AoE)
Damien Hero Siege Drops
Don’t go in expecting a loot pinata. Most players farm him for the Gabriel-key material more than his gear. Its drops are:
- Damien’s Eye (for the Key of Terror).
- Damien’s Soulgem.
- Signet of Corruption (great ring for certain skill types).
- Pieces of the Damien’s Legacy set (Damien’s Head, Damien’s Cage, Damien’s Soulstone, etc.).
- From Fallen Damien: the four main uniques mentioned above plus Soul of Anguish.
Damien Hero Siege Build Advice
Damien himself doesn’t require a hyper-specific build, but some classes and items love him:
- Strong AoE and decent single-target is king (Demonspawn Blood & Bone, certain Marksman, Viking, Prophet, etc. all handle him well in Season 10).
- Damien’s Head (the set book/weapon) is still a very strong mid-game caster weapon for a lot of builds.
- Damien’s Cage (set charm) and Damien’s Soulstone are popular for caster setups.
- Arcane resistance helps a lot against the big bouncing balls and Blood Surge.
- Mobility or just good movement habits make the pools and mirrors way less scary.
If you’re league-starting or pushing early Inferno, any solid clear build will carry you through regular Damien. For Fallen Damien you’ll want proper endgame gear and preferably some screen-wide clear.
