Working at a gas station store isn’t the ideal job especially if your customers are hostile inhuman creatures that might try to kill you. In this guide we are covering everything that happens in Shift at Midnight Shift 2 and how you can overcome the problems you might face.

Starting the Shift: Checking out the Notice Board
When you get off the bus and enter the store, the first thing to do is to check out the notice board and see what’s new. You’ll read the news that Joe’s Diner is burned down, possibly arson. You have to pay attention to this one, It isn’t just background color; it’s the clue that exposes one of tonight’s doppelgangers.
The doppelgangers in Shift at Midnight Shift 2
Many players think that just like the demo, the doppelgangers are the same for everyone but unfortunately that’s not the case. You might encounter a doppelganger at night 5 while your friend encounters the same doppelganger at night 3. However some of the customers will always appear in shift 2.
If you have finished shift 1, then you are familiar with how you can detect doppelgangers; you can get your customers’ ID and check the NET database with your computer. If you don’t recognize all the doppelgangers, then you have to survive the Entity at the end of your shift. And for each human you kill, you have to pay 15 dollars.
Roger Conroy
Your first customer is probably Roger. He is loud and curses a lot at you and staggers a lot. But probably he is just drunk and you don’t have to pull out your gun.
Note: I say probably because in your game he might be a doppelganger but according to my research that’s highly unlikely.
Brandon
Brandon looks like a regular waiter and if you didn’t pay attention at the beginning of the night you might let him buy what he needs but I know you’ve got keen eyes and spotted something on his uniform. He claims he works at Joe’s Diner and is coming back from his shift but you remember that Joe’s Diner was burned down yesterday. So he is obviously lying. It’s time to pull out your gun.
Norbert
Tonight Norbert also pays you a visit. He is a doppelganger but of a different sort. If you don’t know what you should do with him check this guide out.
An NET soldier
Someone from NET tries to buy something from you. This person might be different for each player but they are wearing the uniform. And you have to check whether he or she is a doppelganger or not.
Fixing the Generator
At some point during the night the generator stops working and all the lights go out. You have to go to the generator (don’t forget your flashlight) and reset it by pulling the handle on it. When you come back you’ll see a tall dude in a yellow shirt standing behind your counter. You can either shoot him or put a trap underneath him. But be careful; he starts running after your first shot. You have to shoot him multiple times to kill him.
Needless to say after you kill someone, you have to pick up a garbage bag, take all the limbs and put them in the trash can outside. Then you should clean up the mess using the mop.
Surviving the The Entity
Finally your shift ends and if you weren’t able to detect all the doppelgangers then you have to expect The Entity to come and try to kill you.
At this point you have 60 seconds to get prepared and fortify the store. Put some traps around and barricade the doors. These barricades don’t stop the creature but slows it down.
My recommendation is to put the bear traps in front of the interior doors. That way you make it follow you and step on all the traps.
You should have a weapon, either a gun or a melee weapon to protect yourself. Don’t forget that you can hide inside the vents but not indefinitely; you have to come out whenever the Entity is in other parts of the store. In this part you basically have two options: Either fight the Entity directly or stay quiet and avoid being seen until he leaves. If you don’t kill it and he leaves on his own, then you have to kill the other small creatures that he left behind.
And finally your shift is over. Hop on the bus, take a rest and start Shift at Midnight Shift 3.
