At the beginning of the first shift, go to the notice board to see your three objectives which are: Taking out the trash, cleaning up any blood you see (with the mop) and restocking the shelves

Warning: This is a spoiler. I recommend you try to find the Doppelgangers yourself. This way, you learn how to recognize them on the other nights.

Note: Only the first shift has a fixed Doppelganger list. Other shifts are mostly random. One character might be a human for one player on a specific night and a doppelganger for another player on a different night.
Other Hints About Night One
After Bonnie arrives (and whatever you do with her), the delivery truck shows up. Go to the room behind you, open the door and let the truck come in. You don’t have to arrange the packages immediately, the game won’t let you do so anyway.
Right after the delivery, the phone rings and the objective forces you to go for help. There will be a monster waiting for you. Don’t try to kill it or anything, just run away. The monster can’t come inside the store, so run back there. After that, he will be gone and you’re safe.
Finishing the Shift
When a shift is done, you should clean up everything so you can go to the bus and finish the night. Clean up any blood and meat on the floor. Also check the toilets for any dirt.
Recommendation: I prefer to put all the remaining delivered items on the shelves. If you start managing everything from the first day, the future nights won’t become an uncontrollable chaos.
How to Start the Best Way
How you start the game Shift At Midnight is important. From the beginning, earn as much money as you can. You need $250 at the end of the game to save your pet. Keep your shelves full and clean up the mess as fast as you can. A dirty store hurts your overall rating.
Don’t rush. You don’t have to finish the first shifts quickly. Around 20 to 25 minutes is fine. Try to learn as much as you can. That’s all.
