Poisonous Trail Map

RDR2: The Poisonous Trail Map 3 Treasure Location

Finally, we got to the infamous Poisonous Trail treasure cave section. This is the trickiest part of this treasure hunt in RDR2. However, if you know exactly what to do and where to go, it’s not hard at all. Without further ado, let’s see where the Poisonous Trail Map 3 treasure location takes us.

The Poisonous Trail Map 3 Treasure Location

Travel just north of Elysian Pool, which is located to the south of Annesburg. When you get there, just run through the waterfall to find the hidden cave.

Right off the bat, increase the brightness in the settings to see better in the dark. Now equip the lantern, which is in the knife slot of your weapon wheel.

Continue down the path until you see a ledge to drop down. Then there’s a small open space that you can crawl through.

Once you get through, take a right. Before you continue down the path, take another right. In a lock box, there’s a Large Jewelry Bag that you can pick up. You can sell it to a Fence for $50.

Now, go back to where you were. At the end of this path, you can see another ledge. Take a couple of steps back. Run to the left and jump.

There’s a dead end with a small pool of water. Grab the ledge to the left and search the rock to claim your 4 well-deserved shiny gold bars. You can sell them to any Fence in the game for the price of $500 apiece.

PRO TIP: I know y’all are frustrated when you even think about getting out of the cave. I will show you the easy way out. After getting your 4 gold bars, save the game manually. Exit the game and reload it. You’ll spawn somewhere near Elysian Pool. How ‘bout that?

This marks the end of the Poisonous Trail treasure hunt.

Jason Jenkins

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
