So, where’s the Braithwaite gold bar? Head south of Rhodes to the infamous, now-burned-down Braithwaite Manor.
You will find the corpse of Catherine Braithwaite in the northwestern part of the manor, as shown in the picture.
While you’re at it, loot her body to get Catherine’s Brooch, which can also be sold to any Fence.
To her left, you can find a lock box that contains one shiny gold bar.
Suffice it to say, you can sell this to any Fence for $500.
Does the Braithwaite Manor Gold Bar Glitch Still Work in 2026?
Yes and here are the simplest steps to perform the Braithwaite Manor gold bar duplication method:
- Go to the northwestern part of Braithwaite Manor, after it’s burned to the ground of course.
- Find the lock box and open it, but DON’T take the gold. Leave it open.
- Save your game manually.
- Reload your save. You’ll spawn somewhere near what used to be the manor.
- Ride back to it and pick up the gold bar.
- Close the box.
- Save and reload again.
- Ride back to it again. As shown in the picture, you can now see a second gold bar outside the lock box. Go ahead and pick it up.
A funny thing to note is that after performing the glitch, the unholy corpse of Catherine Braithwaite disappears into thin air.
