Mycopunk Red Keycard: Where to Find It and What It Unlocks

The Mycopunk Red Keycard unlocks Containment, a secret mission that ends with a unique Plate Launcher upgrade. You find the card in a locked bunker, then carry it to a building in the desert. Sounds simple until you can’t find the bunker. Below you will learn how to find and use the Red Keycard.
Spoiler Alert: This guide covers a secret mission and its reward. Proceed with caution!
What You’ll Read:
Where to Find the Mycopunk Red Keycard
The card is inside a locked bunker. These show up as question-mark points of interest on uncharted levels, and in Ice Floes and other biomes. They’re optional and procedural, so some levels won’t have one. If you don’t spot a bunker, load into a different mission and try again.
Once you’re inside, check the corner. The card is like a lunchbox-like object in the close right corner. I opened around four bunkers without spotting it, and the answer was that corner. So check there before blaming bad luck.

How to Open the Locked Bunker
These bunkers are large red-and-gray pyramids, and there are two ways in. Check the pyramid to see which one you got.
Four Damage Inputs
If the pyramid has elemental holes, you need to hit four lights with neutral, fire, acid, and lightning damage. Bring something for each. Melee normally breaks the neutral light, so that one is easy.
Fuse Variant
No elemental holes means you need a fuse. It’s somewhere nearby, and it beeps, so listen for it and drag it into place. Opening any bunker also counts as a side objective.
Where to Use the Red Keycard
Take the card to Flourishing Plains, a permanent map in the Flourishing Desert biome. It isn’t a procedural level, so you can always find it again. I placed it below Moldy Tundra, near water.
The access building is on the left side of the map. I circled the desert three times before finding it, so head left first. Inside is a long ramp, and the terminal is at the end. Interact with it to unlock Containment.
Then go back to the lobby mission list and look for a glitched warning-sign icon. That’s the new mission.

How to Beat Containment
Containment drops you in front of a huge circular blue barrier. First, kill the glitchy-looking enemies. Certain ones spawn carrying an item, and you use that item on the barrier.
Once the barrier is down, a boss waits in the center that gets tougher the more it bleeds. Lovely, right?
You don’t need a specific weapon or character. The mission supplies what you need, which is a nice change after the bunker puzzle.
Containment Reward: Vector Interdiction
The reward is a unique Plate Launcher upgrade, which players call Vector Interdiction. It’s an Exotic upgrade for the FR.15833 Plate Launcher, so you’ll want that weapon in your loadout.
It lets you redirect a fired plate by pressing or holding an input, and you can hold only one plate at a time. It is like a buzzsaw drone you steer by aiming. That sounds pretty fun, and with the right build and loadout, it can make you unbeatable!

FAQ
I opened several bunkers and found no card. Is it bugged?
A few misses don’t prove a bug or a low drop rate. Keep checking bunkers on other levels.
Is the Red Keycard the same as Server Access Codes or the Globbler secret?
No. Server Access Codes is a separate red item. The Globbler is a different secret, unlocked with switches and a Scorched Transponder in Gravity Farms. Globbler videos won’t help you here.
Do I really need to open 15 bunkers for Bunker Buster?
No. That was a launch bug that wrongly required 15 openings instead of one. Patch 2.0.1 fixed the achievement not unlocking.
