Keeping track of every major quest-giver, merchant and villain you meet gets overwhelming fast. So keep this list with you to remember everything about the main cast and every hidden NPC quickly. Check out the pictures too.

Mina the Hollower Main Characters

Here are the main characters driving the story in Mina the Hollower. Your interactions with them shape your entire journey across Tenebrous Isle.

Mina

Mina is the main protagonist of the game. She is a genius mouse inventor and a talented Hollower. She created the magical Spark Technology that powers Tenebrous Isle. Baron Lionel, her patron, has called her back after years to restore the six Spark Generators and investigate a rogue member of her order.

Her main weapon is a whip-mace called the Nightstar. Her signature Hollowing ability is to burrow underground. Being burrowed makes you invincible and lets you do an extended jump when you reappear.

Baron Lionel

Baron Lionel is the head honcho of Ossex and Mina’s wealthy patron. He is a lion who funded her Spark technology research. When the generators fail, he orders Mina to fix them. He acts as your main quest-giver and a major character rather than a boss.

Fun Fact: Some players suspect he is a secret villain because of his Dracula-like design. However, that remains an unconfirmed fan theory for now.

The Duke

The Duke is a timid character who wanders the Queensbury Crypt. He is searching for his mysterious lost love. The Duchess of Queensbury pretends to be this said lost love.

He refuses to fight and runs from danger. So you must protect him and escort him to his casket. But don’t worry. The reward is definitely worth the effort. The Duke will reward you with the Proto Spark trinket, a top-tier item that grants a free revive from death that recharges at checkpoints.

Pro-Tip: Save the game right before difficult encounters to keep the Proto Spark for when you need it.

Mina the Hollower Antagonists & Bosses

There are some brutal, dark enemies on Tenebrous Isle. Some are smaller bosses like Major Miner at Bone Beach. But there are only a handful of major bosses. Here are the main villains standing in your way:

Thorne

Thorne, your main antagonist, is a bat and the former head of Baron Lionel’s guard. He betrayed the Baron and destroyed the Spark Generators alongside his shock troopers.

He is your first major boss fight, but he actually flees right before you kill him. The story makes him seem like the villain at first, but later shows he’s more complicated and hides his true motivations.

The Duchess of Queensbury

The Duchess is an eerie horror ruler of the Queensbury Crypt and the first major boss of a Spark Generator region. She pretends to be the Duke’s long-lost love, which makes this story a tragic encounter. You fight her in two phases. She starts as a giant statue and then attacks with erupting tentacles.

The Carving Man

The Carving Man kids is a spooky monster stalking the Septemburg region. He is not a standard arena boss. He actively chases Mina around the map like a stressful horror monster. Players compare him to Mr. X or Nemesis from Resident Evil and gave him this creepy name. But honestly, I think the Duchess is creepier!
