Loftia Seventyfour Seabream Guide: Catch & Unlock

Loftia Seventyfour Seabream is one of those common fish that can be a little tricky to catch. It can be found in the Lake and Deep Lake Fishing Pools. You will need a Collector’s Rod to catch Seventyfour Seabream. I really love this fish because it helps to unlock Hammer Level 2.
Common doesn’t mean disposable here. Between the hammer unlock and the confusing sell-value information, this is one fish I’d give a go before clearing inventory space.

Loftia Seventyfour Seabream Location
Head to Central Lake in The Hanging Gardens. Both Lake and Deep Lake are fishing spots for Seventyfour Seabream.
Keep your search in that area and target Common fishing spots.
The wider Central Lake fish pool includes Atlantic Sturgeon and Rainbow Trout. You’ll also find the other Heavy-Weight Titans species associated with this lake: Nassau Grouper, Giant Sea Bass, and Southern Bluefin Tuna. That doesn’t mean every species comes from the same spot category, so I wouldn’t assume a Common spot can provide the whole collection.

Seventyfour Seabream is officially classified as Common. The name is written as one word, “Seventyfour,” which helps when you check your inventory against a research request.
Get the Collector Rod first
Kassim’s Fish Are Friends quest introduces the Collector Rod after A Call From the Gardens. You’ll reach the Hanging Gardens through the airtram during that earlier introduction, then craft the rod and show it to Kassim.

The basic recipe needs 5 Rattan, 5 Jute, and 1 Plastic Sheet at your Project Station, with an energy cost of 5. Fish Are Friends then asks you to catch three fish and report back. That gives you a clear starting point if you’ve reached the lake but haven’t unlocked the fishing tutorial yet.
While you’re gathering materials for the Collector Rod, keep an eye out for Scrambled Coordinates from resource nodes. They’re used to enter Adventures, and our Loftia Scrambled Coordinates guide explains how to find and use them.
What Seventyfour Seabream Is Used For
I prioritized this fish mainly because of the Heavy-Weight Titans bundle at the Central Lake Research Station. It requires one of each of these four fish:
- Seventyfour Seabream ×1
- Nassau Grouper ×1
- Giant Sea Bass ×1
- Southern Bluefin Tuna ×1
Completing that collection unlocks the Hammer Lv.2 recipe. You still need to craft the upgraded tool separately. The research reward doesn’t place a finished hammer in your hands.
The Seventyfour is donated toward the research requirement, rather than used as a material in the hammer’s crafting recipe. I’d keep that distinction in mind when planning resources: catching the fish handles one part of the unlock, while making the tool is another job.

Hammer Lv.2 also connects to Notes From the Land and the large rock near Overgrowth during Kun’s tasks. If that rock is your current roadblock, the research bundle is part of the way forward.
The Refining Station Lv.2 reward is separate
The Central Lake Research Station lists Refining Station Lv.2 as the reward for completing its full first research page. Heavy-Weight Titans appears on the second page and provides the Hammer Lv.2 recipe.
I wouldn’t treat those as two rewards from handing in one Seventyfour. Check the page and bundle you’re completing so you know which unlock you’re working toward. Research pages and individual bundles have their own rewards, and that distinction saves a confusing trip back to your crafting stations.
Can You Sell Seventyfour Seabream in Loftia?
I don’t count on Seventyfour Seabream as a source of Dew during launch-week Early Access. Some item data lists a sell value of 5, but that number doesn’t establish a working sale transaction.
The fish is unavailable for sale through the Shipping Bin or shops. For that reason, I wouldn’t label this fish “worth 5 Dew” in a money-making plan. A value in a data table isn’t much use if the game doesn’t let you collect it.
The practical options are research donations and contribution requests.
Check Floating Village Contribution Bins for Sols
Floating Village Contribution Bins can request Seventyfour Seabream as part of fish repopulation contributions.

When a request includes it, the contribution reward is Sols, which should be kept separate from the disputed Dew sell value.
I’d check the active request before handing over extras. These are requests with specific requirements, so don’t assume the bin offers a permanent exchange for any quantity of fish. Check the reward on the active request instead of assuming there’s a fixed payment for each fish.
What I’d Do With the First Catch
If you keep one thing from this Seventyfour Seabream Loftia guide, keep your first fish for Heavy-Weight Titans. The Hammer Lv.2 recipe gives that catch a clear purpose, while spare fish can wait for a suitable contribution request. Grab your Collector Rod and head for Central Lake’s Common fishing spots.
Then check which bundle fish you still need, and let the research collection guide your next trip.
