How to Save Takemura Cyberpunk 2077

Near the end of the “Play It Safe” mission, Takemura’s safehouse is attacked by Arasaka soldiers. At the start of the fight, an explosion causes part of the building under V to collapse, dropping V to the floor below. At this moment, Johnny insists that you should leave the building while V suggests going back to help Takemura.

Go to Third Floor

There is a way to get back up to help Takemura, but it’s easy to miss. The simplest option is to jump back up through the hole you fell through. If you have Reinforced Tendons (double jump) or Fortified Ankles (charged jump), you can jump straight back into the room where Takemura is.

If you do not have the right cyberware, you will need to fight your way through several enemies to reach him. Once you are back on the floor where you landed, look for a neon cross on the wall. Under it, there is a small hole you can crawl through. Follow this path and find the stairs that lead back up to the floor above. Be prepared to deal with Arasaka goons along the way.

Rescue Takemura

Once you reach the third floor, your waypoint will point to Takemura’s location in room 303.

There are three guards at the end of the hallway on the third floor, and more enemies from the fourth floor may come down the stairs behind you. It can be difficult to avoid getting surrounded and pulled into a fight.

If combat breaks out, take advantage of the fact that the enemies in the hallway are grouped closely together. Grenades, shotguns, or quickhacks like Contagion work well against groups. If things get loud, keep an eye on your Minimap so you can see when enemies from the fourth floor are moving in behind you.

Toward Room 307

When you enter room 303, Takemura is surrounded by enemies. Throw a grenade at them or use your strongest weapons and quickhacks to take them out quickly.

After they are dealt with, Takemura suggests leaving the building. Exit the room and turn right. You will run into three more armored enemies. Take them out however you prefer, then keep moving right down the hallway toward room 307.

Inside this apartment, head toward the back where you will see a large hole in the floor glowing with red light. Jump down through it, and you will find a room with a single staircase. Then exit through the door directly behind you. Once you are outside, Takemura will go his separate way.
