Probably Stolen Lou: Should You Report Her? Box of Toys, Bomb & 1,500-Credit Demand

Probably Stolen Lou looks like free money. Her face is on the Wanted board with a 1,500-Credit bounty, and calling Security feels like the obvious play. Easy payday? Not quite. She doesn’t stay locked up. After she gets out she comes straight back to your counter. If you aren’t prepared, her idea of payback will wipe out your shop and end the run on the spot.

Here’s how to handle her visits and survive the traps so you can decide whether that bounty is actually worth the headache.

When Does Lou Appear in Probably Stolen?

Lou becomes available only after you buy the Business Permit. She does not always show up immediately. From the day after the permit, she arrives on the first morning you have under 75 Credits, or on a rent or mortgage day you cannot pay. The latest possible first visit is 15 days after the permit.

On her first visit she looks for melee weapons or tools and has 250 Credits to spend. A Screwdriver or Plasma Cutter satisfies the trade. Check the Wanted poster, her bounty is 1,500 Credits.

Something to keep in mind is that the Known Snitch starting perk prevents Lou (and every other Wanted-poster criminal) from appearing at all.

Should You Report Lou to Security?

Reporting Lou with the Call Security button while she is at the window awards the 1,500-Credit bounty (Model Citizen increases it by 50%; Convict reduces it by 25%) and +5 Security reputation. After hotfix 1.0.0.1, reporting her does not lower Black Market reputation.

  • Let her leave: She exits and never returns. You avoid the entire revenge sequence.
  • Report her: Security arrests her and you receive the bounty, but she escapes and returns with a grudge.

If your cash flow is tight and rent is approaching, the upfront money can cost more than it is worth.

Lou’s Dud Bomb (After Reporting)

Several days after escaping, Lou waits at the door one morning. From this point she can no longer be reported or shot. A couple of mornings later she hides a bomb in one of your containers.

This first bomb is a dud. It does not explode. You can interact with it to disarm it, or simply leave it overnight. It turns into a harmless fake whether you found it or not. Treat it as a warning.

Lou’s Box of Toys: What to Do

On a later visit Lou leaves Lou’s Box of Toys. It contains the Old Republic Orders and the items she bought from you on her first visit. If she bought nothing the first time, the box holds a Wire Cutter, a Plasma Cutter, a Tazer, and a Kitchen Knife instead.

Leave the box and its original contents untouched.

  • Do not sell the box.
  • Do not remove or scrap any original items inside.
  • Store it safely until she returns.

When she comes back she checks the box. If it is missing or any original contents are gone, she plants a real explosive and triggers the BOMBED (Lou’s Toys) ending. If everything is intact she takes the box, talks, and returns anything you added.

Lou’s 1,500-Credit Demand

After collecting the box, Lou returns disguised as a Security Inspector and demands 1,500 Credits. She accepts: weapons and firearms, ammunition, medical supplies and cash to cover any remaining balance.

Have the full amount ready before she collects. There is a That’s All I Have option. If the goods plus cash you can provide total 500 or more, she takes the rest from the register and leaves. If the total is under 500 she plants a real bomb and ends the run with the BOMBED (Lou’s Debt) ending.

Successfully settling the demand ends her storyline. The next day’s news reports that a visiting Republic admiral has been assassinated.

Can You Shoot Lou or Report Her Again?

No. Hotfix 1.0.0.2 made Lou unshootable on every visit. When the revenge storyline is active you also cannot report her again for the bounty. The only way through is to handle the box and the demand correctly.

Is Reporting Lou Worth It?

DecisionProsCons
Let her leaveNo risk, no bombs, stable runMiss the 1,500-Credit bounty and Security reputation
Report to SecurityImmediate 1,500 Credits + Security reputation (no Black Market penalty)Must protect the Box of Toys and prepare 1,500 Credits in goods/cash (or at least 500 on the partial option), risk of BOMBED ending

Report her if you want the full storyline and can protect the box while preparing the payment. Let her leave if you prefer a low-stress run focused on building shop equity. The first bomb is fake, mishandling the box or failing the demand is not.
