Elden Ring Missable Armors Guide: Sets You Don’t Want to Skip

Looking good in Elden Ring has never felt better. Even late in the game you’ve still got some seriously stylish armor sets waiting for you and a few of them come with secret bonuses or drop alongside powerful weapons.
Here’s a straightforward rundown of six missable armor sets that are well worth tracking down once you’re deep into the end game.
Best Missable Armors:
Sanguine Noble Set

This dark, elegant set has a strong vampire vibe and looks fantastic on almost any build.
A Sanguine Noble invader drops the head, chest and feet pieces in the western part of the Mountaintops of the Giants, right in the middle of a rose field. The location fits the theme perfectly. There’s no real risk of missing the drop once you defeat him, and the set gives solid magic, holy, and lightning negation plus decent Vitality and Focus resistance.
It’s mainly a fashion-souls pick, but it pairs really well with pieces from the next set on the list if you want to mix and match.
Alberich’s Set

Found on the first floor of the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Look for the corpse sitting right in the middle of the room.
The set looks great on its own and works especially well for mages. The big advantage is the 5% damage boost to Thorn sorceries (Briars of Sin and Briars of Punishment) that each piece except the legs provides. Equip the full set minus the greaves and you’re looking at a clean 15% boost.
Those sorceries aren’t the strongest in the game, but the visual combo with the Sanguine Noble pieces is excellent if you’re going for a blood-mage aesthetic.
Drake Knight Set

One of the most unique-looking sets in the game thanks to the actual dragon wings that act as a cape.
Start at the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace in Crumbling Farum Azula. Instead of heading toward Maliketh, turn around and enter the big building in front of you. Exit onto the first balcony on the right, then make your way to the northeastern corner. Jump down to the platform with the beast (you can fight or ignore it), follow the bridge to the lift, take it, then head left. The chest at the end contains the entire set.
It offers a good fire resistance and 29 poise at only 22 weight, a nice balance for something that looks this cool.
Zamor Set

Dropped by the boss inside the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave in the Mountaintops of the Giants, along with a strong frost-AOE sword.
From the Giant’s Gravepost Site of Grace, stick to the right until you reach the ruins on the edge. Take the lift down, jump into the first big room (use the light platforms if the shade enemies are bothering you), keep going deeper until you find another elevator. Open the big gate with the nearby lever, but also ride the lift and jump off to unlock a second light platform so you can deal with the shaded troll guarding the boss area.
Defeat the Zamor boss. The set is lighter than the Drake Knight set while offering similar poise. The cool dreadlocks and the chain hanging from the left hand make it a natural fit for arcane builds.
Ronin Set (Yura’s Armor)

This is the closest thing Elden Ring has to a full Ghost of Tsushima look after the starting samurai set.
You can get it by completing Yura’s questline (which starts under the archway just south of the lake in Limgrave after you defeat the Flying Dragon Agheel). The quest involves fighting several invaders, including the one at the Academy Gate and Eleonora (who drops her excellent Poleblade).
If you skip the whole quest, you’ll still meet a possessed version of Yura at the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Defeat him there and the full Ronin set drops. Either way, it’s a great-looking samurai-style outfit.
Rotten Gravekeeper (Rotten Duelist Set)

If you want that pure Kratos energy, this is currently one of the best options in the game. The full set is bright red and even has a built-in effect that draws enemy aggro (similar to the Shabriri’s Woe talisman).
You get the pieces by defeating three Rotten Duelists in the Mountaintops area:
- West of the Consecrated Snowfield Site of Grace, in a graveyard, drops the helmet and Rotten Battle Hammer.
- Northwest edge of Ordina, Liturgical Town, drops the greaves and Rotten Greataxe.
- Final boss of the Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs, drops the last piece.
For the catacombs: work your way through until the big room with the tall statue that shoots thorns. Hit the statue to open a path, go under the archway instead of up the stairs, squeeze through the gap, then use the lowered pillar to reach the lever that opens the boss door.
You don’t have to wear the big helmet if it’s too much, but the full set absolutely sells the look. With these sets, Elden Ring will be much more fun, don’t you agree?
