All Elden Ring DLC Ashes of War

Ashes of War are items that you apply to your weapons and shields to modify their stats and perform new, cool skills with them. Ashes of War define your build, and certain Ashes of War are necessary against certain enemies. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree introduced 25 new Ashes of War that are not available in the original game. In this Elden Ring Wiki, we will learn what they are and where you can get them.

Dryleaf Whirlwind

Dryleaf Whirlwind costs 9 FP and only works on Hand-to-Hand Weapons. It represents the absolute peak of Dane’s footwork-based martial arts. You launch into the air with a flurry of spinning kicks and crash down for one final strike. Look for it in the Rauh Ancient Ruins area of the Land of Shadow. You will find it northeast of the Rauh Ancient Ruins, East Site of Grace.

Aspects of the Crucible: Wings

This is a Sacred-affinity skill that costs 22 FP. You can use it on Swords and Polearms capable of thrusting, except Colossal Weapons. You grow a golden pair of wings, launch into the sky, and dive down at your enemy weapon-first. Equip a twinblade to perform a spinning attack instead. Defeat Black Knight Edredd inside the Fort of Reprimand, located south of Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altus, to get this Ash.

Spinning Gravity Thrust

This Heavy-affinity Unique Weapon Skill costs 26 FP, plus a 12 FP follow-up attack. The disciples of an Alabaster Lord honed this magic with gravitational power to hang in the air, spin your body, and charge forward. It is a Unique Weapon Skill that is the default Ash of War on the Sword Lance. Get the weapon by giving the Remembrance of the Wild Boar Rider, dropped by Commander Gaius, to Enia at the Roundtable Hold. Remove it from the Sword Lance to use it on other compatible weapons.

Palm Blast

Palm Blast is a Hand-to-Hand skill that costs 14 FP. You can charge it up to deal more damage. The spiritual seekers of the Dryleaf Sect created this skill. You imbue your hand with energy and unleash an explosive blast with a palm strike. This is a missable reward tied to NPC interaction instead of a regular world drop. You must challenge Dryleaf Dane to a duel at the Moorth Ruins during his questline and defeat him to claim it.

Piercing Throw

This Keen-affinity skill for Throwing Blades costs 8 FP. You throw your weapon with a massive spin to bore right through foes. The weapon travels further than a normal throw and pierces through enemies. A scarab surrounded by enemies drops this. Look in the ruins southeast of the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace. It is also the default skill on the Smithscript Dagger. Grab that dagger from a corpse guarded by a rock monster in the Ruined Forge Lava Intake.

Scattershot Throw

This Keen-affinity Throwing Blade skill costs 11 FP. You can spend another 11 FP for a follow-up throw. It uses Smithing Arts to conjure multiple copies of your weapon in both hands. Wall of Sparks

This skill costs 16 FP and belongs exclusively to Perfume Bottles. You can charge it to boost both power and range. You scatter perfumed powder in the area. Rolling Sparks

For this skill, you scatter perfumed powder in front of you to set off rolling explosions of deadly sparks. The spark properties change depending on your equipped Perfume Bottle. Shoot down a scarab flying high in the air to get this. It is at the encampment south of the Shadow Keep main entrance, right up the hill, packed with perfumers. This and Wall of Sparks are the only two Ashes of War dedicated to the Perfume Bottle class. Both are essential pickups for any perfumer-style build.

Savage Claws

This Keen-affinity Unique Weapon Skill costs 13 FP. You pounce just like a beast and viciously slash enemies with both your left and right claws. You cannot freely infuse this onto weapons because it is a Unique Weapon Skill. It is the default Ash of War on the Beast Claw weapon. Logur the Beast Claw drops this item. Overhead Stance

This Keen-affinity Unique Weapon Skill attaches to Great Katanas. It features zero activation cost. A normal attack follow-up costs 8 FP, and a strong attack follow-up costs 10 FP. You enter a ready stance and hold your blade high overhead. A normal attack steps forward for a downward slash. A strong attack unleashes a heavy combo of downward slashes. This Unique Weapon Skill stays tied to its specific weapon. It is the default skill on the Great Katana. Loot this weapon from a corpse near the sleeping Ghostflame Dragon. The dragon rests in the lake west of the Greatbridge, North Site of Grace.

Wing Stance

This Quality-affinity skill works on Light Greatswords. It has no initial activation cost, an 8 FP normal attack, and a 10 FP strong attack. You take a calm stance on your right side. A normal attack fires off a rapid three-slash combo. A strong attack launches a massive leaping thrust. Snag this from a chest sitting at the top of a Castle Ensis tower. Start at the Castle-Lord’s Chamber Site of Grace and walk out to the balcony. Jump off the left edge to reach the tower.

Blinkbolt

This Lightning-affinity skill applies to all melee armaments. It stands as one of the most compatible Ashes of War in the entire DLC. You drop into a low stance and transform your body into a lightning bolt. You then charge straight forward at extreme speed. A strong attack changes the move into a lightning-infused leaping slash. Find it inside a chest at the Fog Rift Catacombs. Head to the room with the third spike dropper and bait the trap. Jump into the trap’s notch and ride it up to the hidden chest room.

Flame Skewer

This Flame Art-affinity skill equips medium and large thrusting armaments. The lore calls it the signature skill of Queelign of the Fire Knights. You coat your weapon in fire and drop into a low stance. You then skewer your target in one fluid motion. A strong attack triggers an extra flame attack follow-up. You earn this item as a drop from Fire Knight Queelign. This NPC invades your game at a specific spot in the Gravesite Plain. The drop is strictly tied to completing that invasion.

Savage Lion’s Claw

This Heavy-affinity skill applies to Swords, Axes, and Hammers. Small armaments and thrusting swords are the only exceptions. Lore states only the bravest Redmanes used this move. You somersault forward to smash enemies with your weapon. Press the input again to unleash a second brutal strike. Look for a small camp along the left wall to find this. Divine Beast Frost Stomp

This Cold-affinity skill works on all melee weapons. It mimics the furious wrath of the divine beast’s dance. You lift your leg high and stomp the ground with massive force. This attack sends a heavy wave of frost straight across the floor. Charge the attack to boost its damage and range. You must trade the Remembrance of the Dancing Lion to Enia at the Roundtable Hold to claim it. You have to defeat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion first. This makes the skill an exclusive boss remembrance reward.

Flame Spear

This Flame Art-affinity skill equips to all thrusting weapons. Claws and backhand blades cannot use it. The game describes it as the signature move of Kood, captain of the Fire Knights. You prep your weapon for a thrust and shoot a spear of fire straight forward. You can charge the attack to boost damage and travel distance. A Fire Knight on the sixth floor of the Shadow Keep drops this. Pull the lever to move the statues and climb them. Head outside, walk up the right stairs, and turn left toward a bridge. The Fire Knight waits for you right there.

Carian Sovereignty

This Magic-affinity skill attaches to Swords, but Colossal Weapons are excluded. The Carian royal family passed this skill down through generations. Shriek of Sorrow

This Occult-affinity DLC skill costs 19 FP and equips to all melee weapons. You let out a scream that makes nearby enemies flinch. It taps into deep resentment to buff your attack power. Your damage increases as your HP gets lower. This makes it a great low-health buff with solid crowd-control. Head to the Belurat plaza where Fire Knight Queelign invades. Check the corpse behind the big tree in the middle to grab it.

Ghostflame Call

This Cold-affinity DLC skill applies to swords and spears. Small armaments, Twinblades, and Backhand Blades are excluded. You spend 15 FP to thrust your weapon and summon ghostflame. The Poison Flower Blooms Twice

You can put this 14 FP Poison-affinity DLC skill on all melee weapons. It summons scarlet rot stingers from the ground to stab your enemy. Look for a Teardrop Scarab on the west river bank. It sits just south of the Ravine North Site of Grace.
