Cyberpunk 2077 Malorian Arms 3516: How to Get & Use It

The Cyberpunk 2077 Malorian Arms 3516 is Johnny Silverhand’s signature Iconic Power pistol, and it’s easily one of the coolest handguns in Night City. Between its hefty shots and fiery melee attack, this thing has enough attitude to make Johnny proud.

You can grab it during the Chippin’ In side job, and with Update 2.5 introducing dual-wielding, Johnny’s favorite handgun has another trick up its sleeve.

How to Get the Malorian Arms 3516

You’ll find the Malorian Arms 3516 during Chippin’ In, a side quest unlocked after completing the main job Tapeworm.

  1. Head to the Afterlife and follow Johnny Silverhand’s storyline until Rogue agrees to help.
  2. Wait for Rogue’s call, then meet her at the Afterlife.
  3. Travel with Rogue to the Ebunike ship at the docks in Northside, Watson.
  4. Fight through the Maelstrom enemies and confront Jeremiah Grayson aboard the ship.
  5. Defeat Grayson and select the option to take Johnny’s gun.

That’s it! The Malorian Arms 3516 is yours. You don’t need to spare Grayson to obtain it, so pick whichever dialogue option suits your V.

Malorian Arms 3516 Stats and Special Ability

The Malorian is an Iconic Power pistol that rewards accurate shots while offering a rather explosive surprise up close.

StatValue
Weapon typeIconic Power Pistol
Magazine size10 rounds
Attack speedApproximately 3.3 attacks/sec
Armor penetration50%
Damage typePhysical
Maximum upgrade tier5++

Its standout feature is the incendiary Quick Melee attack, which ignites enemies and deals massive damage. The catch? It consumes every bullet remaining in your magazine. I recommend saving that flaming strike for when you’re running low on ammo. Otherwise, you’re basically throwing a perfectly good magazine into the fire.

Unlike older versions, the current Malorian shouldn’t be treated as a wall-penetrating Tech pistol. It’s a Power weapon with ricochet capability.

Dual-Wielding the Malorian in Update 2.5

Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.5 update introduced Double Trouble, a Cool perk that lets V dual-wield Power pistols and revolvers, including the Malorian Arms 3516.

You need 9 Cool to unlock it. Dual-wielding reduces each weapon’s damage by 37.5%, but you get to fire both handguns simultaneously.

The second rank unlocks Heywood Hurricane, a special firing burst that replaces Quick Melee while dual-wielding. That’s worth considering if you prefer the Malorian’s signature fire attack over the new dual-wield ability.

Is the Malorian Arms 3516 Worth Using?

Absolutely, especially if you’re running a Cool-focused pistol build.

Its armor penetration and fiery melee make it fun at close range, while perks such as Focus and Deadeye support precision shooting. It isn’t necessarily the strongest handgun in every situation, but few weapons let you fight with Johnny Silverhand’s style quite this convincingly. And unlike Johnny, you can actually survive the consequences.
