To start this side job, reply to the message from Coach Fred. He will ask you to help his friend, Aaron, which triggers the mission.

Head to the marked location on your map, where you’ll find Aaron in the middle of a fight. Before it starts, you can talk to the bookie and place a $100 bet on either Aaron or Will. If you chose the Streetkid life path, you can raise your bet to $300 on Aaron.

After the fight, speak with Aaron. He will mention a ripper named Damir at a nearby scav base who might be able to help him before his next match. He will ask you to meet him at Terra Cognita.

Make your way there. Wait on the bench for Aaron to arrive. Once he does, you will walk together toward the scav base while talking.

The base is heavily guarded, so you can either sneak in carefully or go in guns blazing. There are a few guards outside and many more inside. As you push forward, expect resistance, especially in the central atrium, which is multi-level and filled with enemies and turrets.

Fight your way up through the structure until you reach the green double doors at the top. This area is guarded by one last scav. Take him out and wait for Aaron to open the door.

Inside, a cutscene plays between Aaron and Damir. Afterward, sit in the nearby chair while Aaron undergoes surgery. Once he wakes up, Angie arrives with her bodyguards and confronts you.

At this point, you will face a key decision: make a deal with Angie to ensure Aaron loses his next fight or refuse and stand by Aaron’s side.

Choices in No Easy Way Out Quest

If you refuse Angie’s offer, you will have to fight her and her guards. It is a fairly straightforward encounter. Defeating her rewards you with the Tier 5 Iconic Power Pistol, Cheetah. After the fight, speak with Aaron briefly, then leave the scav hideout.

Once you are out, you will need to wait for Aaron to contact you again. This usually takes around three in-game days, so you can either complete other side jobs and gigs or skip time to speed things up.

Aaron will text you when he is ready to chat. Respond to his text and he will ask that you meet him at the Dream Gig bar. When you arrive, speak with the server standing near one of the bean bag chairs outside.

The server will tell you they spotted Aaron with a couple Animals around the back alley. Head to the alleyway behind the bar to the left and you will come upon Aaron’s body near the dumpster. Chat with Johnny for a moment and you will receive a final text from Coach Fred after a couple minutes which will complete this Job.

Cyberpunk 2077 No Easy Way Out Quest Rewards

There are three possible outcomes in No Easy Way Out. Each one leads to a different reward:

  • Side with Angie: Accept her deal and throw the fight. After a few in-game days, she will send you 22,000 credits as your reward.
  • Side with Aaron: Refuse Angie’s offer, which leads to a fight against her and her guards. Defeating her lets you loot the Iconic Power Pistol, Cheetah. However, despite helping him in the moment, this path ultimately results in Aaron’s death.
  • Intimidation option (special path): If you have completed certain earlier boss fights, you may unlock a dialogue option to intimidate Angie into backing off. This is the best story outcome for Aaron, as he survives. However, you will not receive either of the major rewards, only the base payout of 5,000 credits and 1,520 XP.

In short, you will need to choose between the best reward, the best weapon or the best narrative outcome.
