Gothic Remake Santino Location and Special Pieces Walkthrough

The Gothic 1 Remake Santino gives you the Special Pieces quest. And if you struggled like me to find him again, don’t worry. You are in the right place. I found him for you. He is in the Old Mine. Keep reading to learn where to find Santino and how to complete the Special Pieces side quest. You can also check his stats at the end.

How to Complete the Special Pieces Quest

You can start the Special Pieces side quest right in Chapter 1 by finding Santino. Head down into the Old Mine and prepare a torch for light. Walk past Drake, and you will run right into Santino. He is looking for unusual items. Talk to him, and he will tell you he wants unusual or rare items.

After this, his exclusive new side quest starts. This is a brand-new quest for the remake, so do not expect to remember it or find it in your old school walkthroughs. Check out his location below:

Finding the Special Pieces

Santino wants the act of ownership from the Mountain Fortress. You need to clear out this area alongside Lester to get your hands on it. Do not sell or discard this deed, as it is the exact special piece Santino needs to progress his quest.

Gothic Remake Santino Location

The Old Mine eventually floods as the story moves forward. Santino survives the disaster, but he abandons the mine completely. If you want to turn in the deed, look for him back at the Old Camp. He sets up shop inside the house right above Fisk’s place.

How to Avoid the Lester Bug

This side quest has an annoying bug that many players have reported. Do not clear the Mountain Fortress or bring the focus stone to Saturas by yourself early on. If you do this without Lester, he will bug out and just stand there permanently. This can prevent you from getting the deed and finishing the quest.

Who is the Gothic 1 Remake Santino

Santino is a local trader, part of the Shadow (STT) guild, who is a quest giver for players who explore the depths early in the game.

Santino’s Stats, Gear, and Trade Inventory

Santino is not a massive threat, but he carries some decent early-game gear. If you pick a fight with him, he has 70 Health, 7 Strength, and 30 Dexterity. He wears the Shadow’s Dress armor, which cannot be dropped.

He wields a signature weapon called the Thorn of Wounds, which deals 18 Edge damage. If you beat him, he drops that exact sword, a Field Bow, two torches, and 25 Ore Nuggets.

Santino has a solid inventory for a merchant and a miner. Here is a breakdown of his notable trade stock:
