How to Find Evra’s Hidden Boss Room
Evra is tucked away in a secret mini-dungeon called Goddred’s Grave. Before you can reach her, you will need to gather a few specific items and upgrades:
- A traversal Sidearm: The Drill Driver is highly recommended for clearing the platforming gaps.
- Keri the Wisp: This can be purchased from one of the Poppit shops.
- Brisk Brew
- Three Plasma Vials
Once you have your gear, head to the eastern side of the Courtyard in Ossex. Look for a female NPC who has a bone-shaped head. Near her, there is a large gap that you must cross. To do this, use a combination of a Burrow Jump, a hover and your Drill Driver. Pairing the Sidearm with the Wallower’s Gauntlet Trinket makes crossing this gap much easier.
After landing on the other side, interact with the nearby pipe to unlock a convenient shortcut back to this area. Next, equip your most powerful combat Trinkets and spend your three Plasma Vials to unlock the gate on the right side. Proceed through the dark corridors of the mini-dungeon until you discover the Mina The Hollower Evra boss dwelling among the graves in the “Eternal Garden.”
The Boss Fight: Evra The Undying
Before the fight begins, Evra will share some dark lore regarding her family. She harbors a deep hatred for her father, Goddred, calling him “filth” who died a weakling. She claims she will stay in her garden alive forever to feed it with death. Shortly after, the battle against Evra The Undying will begin.
Evra fights from atop a massive, hulking undead steed. Because of the small arena and the sheer number of enemies she summons, this fight can get overwhelming quickly.
Evra’s Move Set
- Skeletal Summons: Evra will continuously charge around the room and spew hordes of small skeletons directly from her mouth. These minions will either chase you down to attack or attempt to self-destruct when they get close.
- Heavy Body Blows: Her giant skeletal mount will try to crush Mina with immensely powerful physical strikes.
Strategy and Tips
The key to surviving this fight is to burrow frequently. Burrowing allows you to safely duck under the undead steed’s massive body slams and avoid the chaotic explosions of the smaller skeletons.
Do not ignore the small skeletons. You will want to constantly whittle down their numbers as you fight. By clearing out the lesser undead, you will create more safe pockets in the arena to dodge Evra’s devastating mount attacks without getting cornered.
Rewards for Defeating Mina The Hollower Evra
Putting Evra The Undying to rest yields a highly valuable permanent upgrade: a Health Rose. This item will increase Mina’s maximum health. This allows you to survive much longer in future encounters.
Additionally, if you are an achievement hunter, defeating the Mina The Hollower Evra boss is a requirement for the Renegade Roundup trophy. You will unlock this achievement once you have defeated her alongside the game’s other secret bosses: Armand, Maxi, Willis and the Dugin.
