Torn Treasure Map

Torn Treasure Map 1 Location

Unlike other treasure maps in the vast world of Red Dead Redemption II, the Torn Treasure map breaks with tradition. It doesn’t give you any gold bar at all. Instead, what it gives you are Otis Miller’s Revolver as well as FIVE (not six) erotic photographs. During this treasure hunt you can obtain the Rare Shotgun as well, which is a powerhouse. With that being said, let’s start the hunt.

Torn Treasure Map 1 Location

Right off the bat, I have to say that there are two halves called Torn Treasure Map 1 and 2. Each map half is held by a hermit, one male, one female. The thing is, the order in which you obtain the torn maps doesn’t matter at all. The first torn map you find is always called Torn Treasure Map 1, be it you take it from the male or female hermit.

I happened to be in Strawberry when I wanted to do this treasure hunt. Therefore, I went to pay Hermit Woman a visit, first. She’s in the far western part of the map. North of Strawberry and west of Wallace Station, you can easily spot the Little Creek River. Follow Little Creek River on your map where it first shows up. That’s the location of Hermit Woman.

As shown in the picture, she resides in a remote cottage in the woods. Be careful. There are signs that say beware of dogs and keep out. When you approach her cabin, the Hermit Woman warns you to get off her property and then unleashes her three dogs on you.

Kill the three dogs and, of course, the female hermit.

Get inside the cottage and search the drawer by the bed to get the Torn Treasure Map 1.

Funny thing is John in the journal writes, “Got attacked by a horrible woman in the woods.”

Now, it’s time to find Torn Treasure Map 2.

Jason Jenkins

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
