Hero Siege How to Unlock Hell Season 10: Step by Step

Unlocking Hell stage in Hero Siege season 10 has been changed compared to previous versions. In season 10, you just need to finish Normal (all the way through Act 9 and Cthulhu) to unlock Nightmare. Then kill Cthulhu again in Nightmare to unlock Hell. That’s it. No need to clear every boss a second time.

Full Step-by-Step Way to Hell

Hero Siege gameplay

Well, take my hands and I’ll entice you to hell. You want one of the toughest versions of the game right? Here you go:

1. Blast Through Normal

Normal is still the straightforward campaign, but now Acts 8 and 9 are free and part of the main path.

  • Finish Acts 1–7 as usual.
  • After you kill Mevius (end of Act 7) you get sent back to Town of Inoya.
  • Walk to the bottom-right corner of the town. There’s a new portal.
  • Go inside, find the Memory of Mevius standing against the wall, and hit him (use a basic attack if your skills need a target).
  • A clone appears, he casts a big spell, cutscene plays and then you enter the Act 8.

2. Do the Act 8 Quest Line

Act 8 quests are mandatory for zone access. Follow them:

  • Plains of Ida moon puzzle: look for the red X, spam interact on the spot to pull the moon out, throw it to open the gate.
  • Keep going through the river, Camp of Souls (find the toy bear), get on the boat yourself after talking to the NPC (nothing happens until you walk onto it).
  • Reach Helheim and beat Odin.

Important tip I know: After Odin dies, wait until he becomes interactable (quest marker) before taking the portal. Standing in the wrong spot or rushing the portal can soft-lock the quest turn-in.

3. Act 9 (Ebontharn): Unlock Nightmare

Fighting the Hell level in Hero Siege

After Odin a portal opens to Act 9. Talk to the pirate lady in the tavern (she’s the wallpaper character) to start the quests.

  • Quests send you all over (jungle, Aztec temple, Shipwreck Cove, etc.).
  • Some NPCs you need to talk to are standing at the waypoint of the zone instead of having a big quest marker.
  • On Volcanic Island the exit is through the dungeon (weird, but true).
  • Beat the final boss Cthulhu in the Abyssal Realm.
  • Go through the portal that appears behind him.

Boom! Nightmare unlocked. You’ll probably hit this somewhere around level 60–75 (or earlier if you speedrun). Nightmare keeps all your Normal waypoints and already has Satanic Zones available (base zones level 170, Satanics 210). You can even drop Heroics this early.

4. The Actual Hell Unlock

Congratulations, you are getting close as hell. Farm Nightmare until you’re level 100 (or strong enough). Satanic Zones are your best friend here for XP and loot.

Then just kill Cthulhu one more time in Nightmare. You don’t have to kill every other boss again only Cthulhu matters here. That’s the unlock. Hell is now open.

What Happens When You First Step into Hell

Create a game on Hell difficulty and go to town. You’ll hear a sound and a bunch of orange quests pop up.

This hands you your first 9 Ether points (the Atlas-style tree). Most people recommend beelining Pillars early for the random satanic drops. They feel amazing when you’re still gearing up.

Hell is roughly the old Season 9 Hell 4.5 difficulty. Bosses have something like 8× the HP you’re used to, so expect a real spike and prepare your best HS build. As I know, some players farm Nightmare Satanic Zones a bit longer until they can comfortably clear Hell content.

What About Inferno

Inferno is the next (and currently highest) difficulty after Hell. Hell is actually the old Hell 4.5, followed by Inferno. I haven’t tried it yet. Anyway there is some confirmed information about it which may help.

Killing enemies in Hero Siege

Once you can enter Inferno, walk into it the same way you did with Hell. You’ll get another batch of Ether points right away with the same reward style as stepping into Hell for the first time.

Progressing through Hell (especially the quests from Toy Neil that lead into the Uber bosses) opens further quest chains you can pick up in Inferno. Killing the Uber-Uber bosses is tied to important rewards like a 5th relic slot and later a charm-slot quest that continues into Inferno.

Quick Tips So You Don’t Get Stuck

I tried to explain reaching hell as easily as possible. Anyway the tips below help you for a smoother run:

  • Most quests in Acts 1–7 can be skipped. Act 8 cannot. Early Act 1–3 quests are still worth doing for the coffee flask, Crow’s Feather charm and possible early Satanics.
  • Keep your potions updated every new act. Reset vendors if you need better ones or bases.
  • “Damage Taken Reduced by” on chests is god-tier early. Put it on your loot filter.
  • After level 100, deaths cost 15% of your XP bar, be aware of that.
  • Companions pick up runes, gems, gold, etc. Grab a free one in the cosmetic menu.
  • Loot filter is mandatory. The game drops a lot of junk.
