StreetKid Cyberpunk 2077: Quests & Dialogue Choices

Choosing the StreetKid Cyberpunk 2077 means V already knows Night City pretty well. After spending two years in Atlanta, V returns to Heywood and almost immediately gets caught up in a car theft gone wrong. So much for a fresh start.
At least growing up on these streets has its perks, including unique dialogue options that can get you out of trouble without firing a shot. Here’s what Streetkid actually changes.
How Does the Streetkid Lifepath Start?
Streetkid V grew up in Heywood before leaving Night City for Atlanta. Two years later, V returns after things didn’t work out. The story begins at El Coyote Cojo, where bartender Pepe Najarro asks V to help settle his debt to Kirk Sawyer. Kirk’s solution is simple: steal a Rayfield Aerondight, and the debt disappears.

On the way, V meets Sebastian “Padre” Ibarra, a fixer who already knows them. The car theft goes wrong when Jackie Welles shows up with the same idea, followed by the NCPD. Somehow, getting arrested together becomes the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Your dialogue choices during this opening don’t change the outcome. V and Jackie end up on the same path regardless.
What Does the Streetkid Lifepath Change?
Streetkid gives V unique dialogue options thanks to their familiarity with Night City’s underworld. Some of these can even make certain missions easier.

In Only Pain, V can convince the NCPD officers to leave without a fight. During An Inconvenient Killer, Streetkid dialogue lets V get past the 7th Hell bouncer without paying. There’s also Raymond Chandler Evening, where mentioning Mamá Welles can convince two Valentinos to back off without throwing punches. However, completing Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta beforehand can make them hostile instead.
I think these small interactions are where Streetkid feels most natural. V doesn’t need a lengthy explanation of how the streets work. They’ve already lived there.
Streetkid Exclusive Quest: Small Man, Big Mouth
Streetkid gets one exclusive side job, Small Man, Big Mouth, which becomes available after completing Heroes. Kirk contacts V again, promising a job involving experimental Militech cyberware. You meet him at El Coyote Cojo before heading to Arroyo in Santo Domingo.

After dealing with the Valentinos guarding the van, you discover that the supposed high-tech treasure is actually a Fake Samerei Jacket. Yes, even the name is a knockoff. The jacket is the quest’s distinctive collectible, and it’s different from Johnny Silverhand’s Samurai jacket.

Does Streetkid Affect the Ending?
No. Choosing Streetkid doesn’t affect which endings you can unlock or who you can romance. You’ll still have access to the same major quests and character builds as the other lifepaths.
No matter which lifepath you choose, V eventually follows the same main story. What changes is how V’s journey begins and how their past influences certain conversations. Each lifepath also comes with its own exclusive side quest.
If you want V to feel like someone who already knows Night City inside out, Streetkid is a fitting choice. Just don’t expect it to make you a stronger merc. Knowing everyone in Heywood doesn’t come with a damage bonus.
