How to Hack with Mouse and Keyboard in Pragmata
Hold down either the Alt key or the side button on your mouse; don’t let it go. To the upper right side of your screen, a square-shaped box appears.
It’s paramount that you should now move your cursor across the screen through every single blue box before you finally go to the green box. Otherwise, you can’t hack successfully, and you’re gonna have to hack it again.

Why the Pragmata Hacking Tutorial Is Confusing
The way the game helps you learn this hacking mechanic is not the best, that’s for sure. The game’s tutorial icon displays a mouse’s side button. If you’re using a standard mouse without side buttons, you might feel a little lost. In that case, use the Alt key instead.
One thing that I should mention is that, if your mouse does have side buttons but you have them mapped to custom system macros, Pragmata will fail to recognize the input. Which only means you must either use the Alt key workaround or temporarily disable your custom macros while playing this game.
