It was added to the game as part of the OSRS Leagues 6 Demonic Pacts event. For most players, it easily ranks as the best magic weapon for the entire event. But why? Keep reading to learn the answer.

The Shadowflame Quadrant is an infinite source of air, water, earth, and fire runes. You can also autocast spells from all spellbooks with it. When you cast standard elemental spells, the staff fires a second hit that deals 40% of your first attack’s damage.
But the best feature is the adaptive elemental weakness. The weapon always identifies your target’s highest weakness. It then modifies your current spell to match that exact weakness.
For example, if you cast Water Surge at a monster with a 30% air weakness, the staff treats that monster like it has a 30% water weakness instead. So it basically means a weakness is a weakness; the type doesn’t matter! This lets you trigger specific element-based Demonic Pacts while still exploiting monster weaknesses.

Slayer Requirements and How to Reach
The most important thing you should know is that you need level 93 Slayer to enter the boss room. To get there as fast as possible, you can:
Grab the Tier 6 Culling Spree relic. This lets you pick your exact task. Then, pick Kraken boss tasks and set the kill limit to five. You can now easily collect 83,000 Slayer XP per run to reach 93 fast. Once you unlock the smoke devil, set the task limit to 200. This lets you camp the boss for a long time.
Shadowflame Quadrant Drop Rates
The drop rate for the Shadowflame Quadrant is 1 in 25. This seems a bit low. But do not worry. The Leagues event has a built-in dry protection mechanic. Once you kill 50 bosses, you get a guaranteed drop. You will receive both the quadrant and the Devil’s Element at that exact kill count.
Best Shadowflame Quadrant Build OSRS
You want to stack the right Demonic Pacts to push this staff to the limit. Grab one or two water pacts to secure your healing. Pick up the big air pacts to increase your overall damage output. Do not ignore accuracy pacts.

Shadowflame OSRS Problem with Wrath Runes
The community is still testing exact interactions with Ancient Magicks. Players want to know if pacts making spells count as air or water will properly trigger the staff’s passive double-hit buff. If those synergies do not work, you are stuck casting standard Wave spells.
This happens when you lack the items to cast Surge spells. You specifically need Wrath runes for that. You basically need the Transmutation relic to get them. Otherwise, you need to unlock the Zeah or Fremennik regions to defeat bosses like Vorkath or Yama for rune drops.
