Farming Leagues 6 Demonic Pacts Changes

League 6 made some huge changes to the game’s farming skill. Growing crops is now faster and far less tedious. You can power through levels without waiting days for trees to grow. But the Crème de la crème of this mode are the two changes below:

Insane 5x Growth Rates

Farming ticks (i.e., moving to the next growth stage) happen every 1 minute instead of the usual 5 minutes. Crops grow 5x faster across the board. So thankfully, you won’t have to wait long for your harvest. Here are the boosted growth times you need to know:

Quests and Skillcape Perks

Early quests drop massive XP. For example, the Garden of Death and Grim Tales each give 10,000 Farming XP. Enlightened Journey rewards 3,000 XP. Keep in mind, when you unlock regions, these quests are often completed automatically for you, but they will not reward you with any XP. So complete quests manually before the area becomes auto-unlocked.

The standard Farming cape is not available in this league. You need the Max Cape instead, which you can grab from the Leagues Tutor in Varlamore. It boosts your herb patch production by 5%. This buff becomes really useful when it is combined with magic secateurs.

Farming can be expensive. Read our OSRS Leagues 6 Money Making to learn how to be rich!

Early Game Farming in Varlamore

You start your Leagues 6 journey in Varlamore. This region has every patch type you need right out of the gate. Here, you can access allotments, herbs, flowers, and tree patches immediately. And here’s what to do with them:

Essential Early Point Tasks

You want fast points on day one, and Varlamore offers plenty of easy farming tasks. Rake the local flower patch for a quick 10 points. Harvest the surrounding crops for easier unlocks. You earn 10 points each for picking six cabbages, six potatoes, a single onion, and sweetcorn.

Grab six wheat and take it to the windmill to make flour. Boom! Another 30 points. Next, talk to the Vineyard Foreman to get a grape barrel. Pick four shimmering grapes to fill it up and claim 30 points. Look for the actual shimmer animation so you only click ripe grapes.

You can also milk a dairy buffalo, shear an alpaca, and give a bone to Moscelus the dog near the fields. Each of these gives 10 points.

Pro-tip: Spam-rake weed patches to force your way to level 12 for tomato seeds if you get stuck.

Where to Find Tools and Seeds

You need basic supplies to start. Head to the general stores or farming shops around Varlamore. Buy your rake, shovel, shears, and buckets there.

Next, you need seeds. Look for the Master Farmer roaming near the Varlamore patches. You need 38 Thieving to pickpocket him. He drops all the low-level seeds you need to kickstart your grind.

Best Regions for Farming

Kourend is the undisputed king of Farming in Leagues 6. If you want to max the skill fast, you need Zeah. Here’s why:

Why Kourend is the Farming Meta

Kourend has the Farming Guild and Tithe Farm. The Farming Guild offers contracts for a constant supply of high-level seeds. Tithe Farm is completely broken with the League multipliers. Pair the minigame with the right relics, and you will hit level 99 Farming in about an hour. From my experience and research, this is the absolute fastest way to speed through the levels.

Echo Hespori Boss Requirements

Kourend also has a brand new boss called Echo Hespori. He is basically a tougher, scarier version of the standard Hespori. What’s that got to do with farming? Well, you will find him inside the Farming Guild.

To enter the boss room, you need to reach level 65 Farming. You should also plant a Hespori seed in its patch and wait for it to grow. Kill it, and you will be rewarded with unique loot and some massive League point tasks.

Honorable Mentions: Fremennik, Desert, and Kandarin

Kourend is the main priority, but a few other regions offer excellent passive bonuses for your Farming grind.

Fremennik: Unlocking this region automatically completes My Arm’s Big Adventure. This gives you instant access to the troll stronghold disease-free herb patch. You will never lose a high-value seed here.

The Desert and Kandarin: Unlocking the Desert auto-completes The Garden of Death quest with an instant 10,000 Farming XP drop. Picking Kandarin auto-completes Enlightened Journey for another quick 3,000 Farming XP. These are great ways to skip the early levels without planting a single seed.

Best Farming Relics

Relics define your Leagues 6 builds. If you want to breeze through Farming and Herblore, you have a few overpowered choices. Let’s break down the ultimate Farming relic and a popular early-game synergy.

Nature’s Accord (Tier 5)

Nature’s Accord is the undisputed king of Farming relics. It completely removes level requirements to harvest, plant, or make things. You can literally plant Magic Trees at level 1 Farming! It gives you a massive 10x yield on all patches, and every item is automatically noted. You also get experience for all those extra resources.

Even better, your plants are guaranteed to never die. You also have a 20% chance to keep your seed or sapling after planting. On top of that, you receive the Fairy Mushroom. This item gives you instant teleports to all tool leprechauns, spirit trees, and fairy rings. Pick this if you want to speedrun the skill or need massive Herblore supplies.

The Woodsman Synergy

You might not even need Nature’s Accord if you plan ahead. The Woodsman relic gives you herb and tree seeds while you train Hunter. Pair this with the Transmutation relic to upgrade or downgrade those seeds into whatever you need.

Many players use this combo to stack seeds early on. If you grab Woodsman, you might generate enough supplies to max Herblore and Farming without wasting your Tier 5 slot on Nature’s Accord.

Passive XP with Transmutation

The Transmutation relic is another top-tier choice for passive gains. You can use it to upgrade or downgrade your seed stack to get exactly what you need. It also lets you earn Farming experience while you train completely different skills. You receive passive Farming levels when you turn ores like coal into mithril. Grab this relic to skip the early seed grind and level up without even touching a dirt patch.

FAQ

How long do herbs take to grow?

All herbs take exactly 12 minutes to grow. The standard 60-minute growth cycle is cut down by the global 5x Farming multiplier.

How do I get low-level seeds early?

Pickpocket the Master Farmer. You need level 38 Thieving to steal from him. You can find one roaming directly around the Varlamore farming patches. You can also use the Woodsman relic to generate seeds passively while training your Hunter skill.

Do my crops die in Leagues 6?

Yes, crops can still become diseased and die under normal circumstances. However, the Nature’s Accord relic changes this. If you unlock this Tier 5 relic, your plants are guaranteed to never die. You won’t need to use compost or pay farmers to watch your patches.
