The Ancient Amulet is a rare mystery item in the game which grants players protection against the first attack from Michael Myers. You do not need to activate The Ancient Amulet, as long as it exists in your hotbar (inventory), it will automatically negate the first attack blinding Michael for about 3 seconds. As with other items in the game, The Ancient Amulet can also be thrown for a stun effect.

Ancient Amulet Uses and Strategic Value
Let’s discuss the Ancient Amulet’s strategic value through a few in-game situations: You’re carrying an important escape item and Michael catches you. Without the Amulet, a grab could potentially end your run and remove that item from your team’s possession.
With the Amulet, the first grab is negated and that creates a precious window to escape. You could also be rescuing another Civilian when Michael grabs you instead of the person you’re protecting. The Amulet triggers and Michael is blinded, giving your teammates an opportunity to intervene.
Another interesting situation is when you’re being stalked at Michael’s high Stalk. Because high Stalk makes Michael’s grab more dangerous, the Amulet’s value potentially increases as Michael’s preparation increases. In other words: the better Michael has prepared for the kill, the more valuable the Amulet’s automatic counter becomes.
