The Focus Below the Stone Circle Quest Walkthrough
You need to grab the focus stone at Stonehenge to finish the Focus Below the Stone Circle quest. Head to the map marker and clear out the enemies on the left side. You will spot Diego waiting in a glowing purple area, looking through a dome. Talk to him and follow him down into the crypt.
Take out any enemies along the way. Pull out your torch once you reach the main chamber. You need to light the fires on all four platforms. New enemies will immediately spawn from the ground. Wipe them out to trigger another conversation with Diego.
Head deeper into the cave to face the Zombie. Use the lightning trap puzzle to defeat him and clear out the skeletons (Learn how in the next section). Grab the Focus stone from the center of the room. Talk to Diego one last time. Return to the New Camp and hand the stone to Saturas to complete the quest.
Defeating the Gothic Remake Zombie at Stonehenge Crypt
Once you follow Diego down into the Stonehenge cave, you will notice that normal weapons and magic are totally useless against the Zombie. You have to use the environment to take him down. But how?
Look around the room for three glowing blue plates on the walls. You need to shoot each of these targets with a bow or magic. Every time you hit a plate, a blue line is produced and leads toward the ceiling’s center.
Keep moving so the skeletons and the Zombie cannot hit you. Once all three plates are activated, a massive lightning bolt shoots down from the ceiling into the middle of the room. Lure the zombie into the center grate to deal heavy damage. Repeat this process a couple of times to kill him for good.
Warning: Shooting the glowing wall plates with a crossbow does not work. You have to use a regular bow or magic to activate the plates.
The Unkillable Zombie Bug Fix
Many players have reported an annoying bug that makes the zombie completely immune to the lightning trap, and he takes zero damage from it. If this happens to you, run far enough out of the room, save your game, and load that save again. Reloading fixes the collision and allows the trap to damage him again.
The Hidden Cliff Side Zombie Cave Walkthrough
There is a secret cave near where you find the Focus Stone with Nyras that has some of the best Gothic Remake gear. But it’s guarded by two zombies. Here’s how to get it:
First of all, you need climbing skills to reach this cave. You can learn climbing from Theron at the Swamp Camp on the beach right outside the main temple.
Once you have the skill, head over to the mountain above the Swamp Camp Temple during Chapter 2.
Start exactly where you find the first Focus Stone with Nyras. Go down and take the path to the left. It will quickly split. Ignore the path that goes down, and keep moving straight ahead. Or scramble down like in the picture below.
Follow this straight path until you hit a climbable section of the mountain wall. Climb up onto the ledge and keep moving forward. Watch the left side for a small drop-off. Drop down here to find a second climbable wall. Climb down this final wall, and you will land right at the entrance of the hidden Cliff Side cave.
Defeating the Secret Cave Zombies Easily
Go to the cave entrance to trigger the fight. As soon as the combat music starts, sprint straight back to the climbable wall. Scramble up the rock to the safety of the ledge above. The zombies will follow you and get stuck at the bottom of the cliff. Now pull out your bow and shoot them from safety until they die.
Alternatively, you can go down the ledge and quickly climb back up when they try to follow you. Either way, a Gothic Remake zombie cannot climb, and there are many ways to take advantage of that.
Pro-tip: If you want to save arrows, you can also wait until they get stuck on the rocks, jump down behind them, and finish them off with a few safe melee strikes.

How do you kill the zombie with Diego?
You cannot damage him with normal attacks. Shoot the three glowing blue plates on the walls with a bow or magic. This activates a lightning trap. Lure the zombie into the center of the room to hit him with the lightning. Do this three times to defeat him.
Why isn’t my crossbow working on the blue plates?
This is a common bug in the game. Crossbows simply fail to activate the puzzle. You must switch to a standard bow or use magic spells to hit the targets.
