What You’ll Read:
Who is Arora in Dead as Disco?
Arora is one of the main Dead as Disco bosses and a living idol in Dead as Disco. She represents the desire for divinity. You fight her on her own K-Pop themed stage to the track “Rhythm Divine”.
Arora Dead as Disco Lore
Arora comes from South Korea. She is a stoic and narcissistic idol who truly believes she is a god! Back in the day, she built a strong bond with her Dead as Disco bandmates, especially with Charlie who still calls her by the old nickname “Rori”. She eventually left the group to build her own personal fanbase.
Now, ten years later, the surviving idols reunite for a concert to honor Charlie’s mysterious death. Arora still cares for Charlie deep down. But she throws those feelings aside the second he denies her godhood and forces a fight.

How to Beat the Arora Boss Fight
Arora has a painfully slow tempo and an irregular beat. Defeating her requires countering these three distinct mechanical phases:
1. Delayed Quick-Time Events (QTEs)
Her swift dodge maneuvers have an annoying delay, meaning you cannot blindly rely on the visual QTE prompt circles. Instead, force yourself to pause for roughly a half-second once the outer circle appears before finally pressing the prompt.
2. Lethal Tracking Arora Meteors
During her solo phase, she launches homing celestial rocks that result in an instant kill if they connect. You have three ways to handle this:
- The Parry Method: Stand completely still, pull out Prophet’s Gauntlets, and use a timed guard to perfect parry the rock straight back for an instant knockdown.
- The Drumstick Method: Swat the projectile mid-air with a drumstick, delay briefly for it to hit the ground, and dash directly toward her.
- The Evasion Method: Anticipate her jumping away, run laterally, dodge the impact, and immediately retaliate with a slide attack.
3. Close-Quarters Combat Loop
When fighting her human form, activate Prophet’s “Showstopper” ability to tear through her defense. Executing a perfect guard followed immediately by an uppercut launches and dazes her for effortless punishment.
Alternatively, you can follow up a Showstopper deflect with a fully charged “Bass Invader” to drain a massive portion of her health bar. When she finishes a melee sequence, block or evade the final strike and land a quick takedown before she backs away.

How to Get 5 Stars in Dead as Disco Against Arora
You need to score around 60,000 points to hit the 5-star Arora. Here, speed is everything. You can easily farm points during her first celestial phase. Just avoid hitting the meteors to delay damaging her until you get enough points.
If you want to melt this phase instead, use a drumstick on the three meteorites she drops. Later, in the defect pool area, use a fully charged singularity and Hemlock’s “Bass Invader”. This triggers a huge AOE wipe for massive points.
Best Weapons to Beat Arora
Fight smart, not hard. Get these weapons and gears to easily defeat Arora:
- Charlie’s Sticks are the best choice for standard enemies to hold momentum and chain rapid combos.
- Electric Guitars: are for a massive high score, is your main goal.
- Prophet’s Gauntlets are essential for perfect parries and deflecting heavy hits.
- Hemlock’s Guitar is amazing against tough bouncers. Execute a charged attack and follow it with a close-range finisher to melt them easily.
Upgrade both Hemlock’s Guitar and Prophet’s Gauntlets immediately. Maxing them out gives you total damage immunity during use.
Advanced Crowd Control Tactics
If you let the stage mobs swarm you, your health pool will vanish instantly. To survive, you need to make crowd control a top priority.
Mastering the Windmill Kick
Before attempting to clear entire waves with this move, make sure to max out the Windmill Kick in your Skill Tree so it gains launch capabilities. Tossing foes into the air opens them up for high-damage aerial takedowns that deal heavy area-of-effect damage to surrounding targets.
- The Input: Hold the attack key until Charlie flashes blue, then spin your directional controls in a complete 360-degree circle, and release the button.
- The Result: Mastering this circular motion allows you to wipe out dense enemy groups effortlessly.

Precision Angled Strikes
Don’t strike shielded targets head-on. Instead, land a charged strike on a weaker minion at a sharp angle. This will send the lesser enemy flying directly into the shielded guard, colliding with them to completely shatter their advance and leave them wide open to retaliation.
Command Input Buffering
Maximize your offensive uptime by priming your charge input during any stage countdowns or unskippable takedown cutscenes. When you keep the button held down, Charlie will immediately execute a heavy kick, the exact instant you regain movement control.
Optimal Gear Loadout
Defeating Arora requires picking the right instruments for the job. Prioritize maxing out Hemlock’s Guitar and Prophet’s Gauntlets immediately, as fully upgraded versions provide complete damage immunity while active.
| Weapon | Best Strategic Use |
| Prophet’s Gauntlets | Crucial for executing perfect parries and countering heavy attacks. |
| Hemlock’s Guitar | Ideal for melting tough bouncers with a charged hit followed by a close-range finisher. |
| Charlie’s Sticks | The top pick for slicing through basic enemies while maintaining fast combo momentum. |
| Electric Guitars | Swap to these if your primary target is maximizing your high score. |
All Dead as Disco Arora Story Items Locations
Rori struggles with her disconnection from Harmony’s network. You need to find the following items that remind her of her importance to Dead as Disco to progress her story.
The Bonsai Tree
The Bonsai Tree is a gift Rori gave to Prophet. Play the Prophet’s level until you reach the office with the purple trees. Look in the top left corner to grab the tree.

The Business World Issue
Reach the second stage by the train tracks in Hemlock’s story level. Look at the short wall of the tracks, just below where people stand. The magazine is on the left side near the barrier.

The Rori Photo
Reach the doll graveyard abyss in Arora’s story level. This is the red and pink world full of grey, featureless dolls. Head to the back of the area and look to your right. You will find a squatting doll with one arm stretched out. The photo is right on its back.
