The door out of there is locked and you can only unlock it with a blue crest, half of which is in the clock cabinet and the other half the moth is holding. With that in mind, let’s solve the Creature Kitchen clock puzzle.

How to Solve the Clock Puzzle
It’s not hard at all. There’s a typewriter on the opposite side of the room from where the clock is. Go ahead and interact with it to read the paper that’s in the typewriter.
It acts as a code for you to decipher. Here’s the paper:
So, according to what we can make of the text, turn the clock clockwise all the way down to 7.
Then counterclockwise to 10.
Finally, clockwise again, to 4.
There you go. The clock cabinet opens. You now have the first half of the blue crest. Don’t forget to snag the salad recipe while you’re at it. It’s next to the crest half in the clock cabinet.
With the first half done, you might wonder, what about the other half of the blue crest?
Why Is the Clock Puzzle in Creature Kitchen Not Working?
First, you have to consider that the clock functions exactly like a combination padlock. This means even a single incorrect input forces you to do it all over again.
Due to the nature of the clock’s interface, it’s so easy to misjudge the dial’s position. You must start exactly at VII (7), then counterclockwise to X (10), and lastly, clockwise again to 4. Anything other than this exact order will reset the sequence. So you won’t be able to open it.
How to Get the Other Half of the Blue Crest
The second crest half comes from the moth himself. It’s actually so simple to get it. You have to befriend him so that he can give you the other half. Feed him four vegetarian meals: french fries, pancakes, mushroom soup, and toast.
Feed him those four meals of his. Simply just toss those meals in front of him. He’ll eat them. Once he’s eaten the fourth meal, he shows his appreciation by giving you the second crest half. That’s when you realize you’ve successfully befriended him.
