AC Black Flag Resynced The Hangman Trophy/Achievement Guide

The Hangman trophy/achievement in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced requires you to kill 10 enemies by hanging them with the rope dart. It seems straightforward, sure, but if you’re a trophy or achievement hunter and want to get it done as quickly as possible but don’t know where to do it properly, then it’s going to be so annoying.

Unlock the Rope Dart First

Before we begin, there are a couple of things you need to consider. Remember that if you haven’t progressed through Story Sequence 3, then you don’t have the Rope Dart just yet. So you can’t unlock this trophy. Make sure you have it, then attempt this.

And make a manual save before going for this achievement. The reason is that it might be bugged or the game doesn’t count your kills towards trophies, which if you reload, it should fix it.

The Hangman Trophy Best Farm Location: Cat Island

Right off the bat, travel to Cat Island. I did it so easily here.

AC Black Flag Resynced The Hangman (3)

Once you’ve spawned there, head northeast. If you see any enemies there, just stay hidden in the bushes. When the coast is clear, continue your path to find a ladder leaning against a tree.

Climb up the ladder. If there’s an enemy beneath you, then there are two prompts that appear: assassinate and hang. You hang them to start your killing spree. If there’s not, just hang in there a little bit. Then continue along the tree branches and roofs to find your next target.

Keep doing it until you meet your quota. If you keep getting spotted here, just kill a couple of guards, then attempt this.

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
