Flat damage reduction is incredibly powerful in Gothic Remake. A single ring that defends you from incoming attacks by 10 or 15 points provides massively more effective HP than your standard average health rings. Here are three defensive rings in Gothic Remake that give you some sense of invincibility.
Ring of Greater Invincibility
Right off the bat, the Ring of Greater Invincibility is easily the best ring in Gothic Remake hands down. This late-game ring offers massive defensive stats and the good thing is you can grab early it in Chapter 1.

You can loot one directly from Gomez in the Old Camp after knocking him out. It’s a little complicated, though. So how do you get the Ring of Greater Invincibility in Chapter 1 of Gothic Remake? Here’s how to do this.
After you gain access to the castle in the Old Camp, head there (at night preferably). Once in the castle, go up the stairs and kill a guard there. Then get back to the throne room and wait until Gomez goes to the second floor to sleep.
When he goes up the stairs, go ahead and knock him out, then loot him.

Ring of Purification
The Ring of Purification is located in an abandoned hut at the Old Camp’s south gate, but to be honest, it’s a little bit hard to get there.

One way is to buy the Transform into Fly scroll from Cronos (the mage vendor located in the New Camp) to transform yourself into a fly and fly where you can’t go while on foot.
Or you can even jump on your mount and from there climb on the wall.
It’s a little bit tricky. So try to jump on its neck. Then go into the basement and the Ring of Purification will be on your right.
Ring of Iron Skin
The Ring of Iron Skin grants +10 protection against edge (slash) and blunt attacks.

To find it, start at the New Camp. Head right from the tavern and up on the ridge to the Free Mine.
Keep going straight until you see a waterfall. Drop down the ridge, as shown in the picture. Jump into the water to swim across and climb up the opposite side.
Be cautious here. There are a couple of wolves guarding this spot. One definitely always is inside the cave. Bring plenty of arrows and healing potions. Know that it’s always much safer to take the wolves one by one so you don’t get overwhelmed. Once clear, loot the ring from the corpse lying inside the cave.
A second location for this ring is at the top of the broken tower located between the Old Camp and New Camp. You have two options to get inside: find the key, or pick a severely difficult lock. You can find the key in a chest guarded by two bandits just below the tower.
You will also find a permanent +1 Strength potion called Essence of Strength inside the chest in the broken tower.
Best Attribute Rings
There are two really good rings that you can find very early in Chapter 1. Both offer excellent bonuses to Health and Dexterity and you honestly can’t go wrong with either of them. Here they are:
Ring of Life
As the name suggests, the Ring of Life increases your maximum HP. It is located inside one of the caverns in the Free Mine.

To get the Ring of Strength in Gothic Remake, go to Arto’s room in the castle in the Old Camp. It lies in the chest by the first bed. Note that it requires a lockpick. The Ring of Strength gives you 7 Strength when you equip it.
