OSRS Weapons Under 1KG

In the current Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts in OSRS, weight matters a lot. This is because one of the Demonic Pacts nodes provides a special effect for light weapons in which there’s an additional melee hit that uses 40% of your base max hit for all OSRS melee weapons under 1 KG. You can now see why players are suddenly interested in weapons under 1 KG. Let’s look at these lightweight weapons and see what the best choices are.

OSRS Melee Weapons Under 1KG

The defining mechanic of Demonic Pacts light weapons is that melee weapons under 1 KG always gain tick rate reductions, which means faster attacks. Plus, they gain an extra hit that deals 40% of your base max hit, with a minimum of 1.

However, this effect does not activate during special attacks. This makes sub-1 KG weapons the best choice for consistent DPS. So basically, weapons under 1 KG plus that extra 40% hit effect.

Here’s the list of melee weapons under 1 KG:

  • Abyssal whip (hands down the best one-handed weapon under 1 KG in this League)
  • Most daggers (including Dragon Dagger, Abyssal Dagger, and Cerb Dagger)
  • Dragon claws
  • Crystal axe
  • Bone club
  • Ancient crozier
  • Black pickaxe
  • Blisterwood flail (and all other flails)
  • Sarachnis cudgel
  • Emberlight

There’s also the 3rd Age Longsword that weighs exactly 1 KG. However, it’s treated as a heavy weapon.

At the end of the day, weapons under 1 KG are extremely limited and they mainly include whips, daggers, claws, and a few niche weapons.

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
