RDR2: The Jack Hall Gang Map Guide

One of the easiest treasure hunts in Red Dead Redemption II is by far the Jack Hall Gang treasure hunt, also known as All That Glitters treasure hunt, which you can start in Chapter 2.

Jack Hall Gang Treasure Hunt Overview:
Number of Maps: 3
Reward: 2 Gold Bars ($1,000)

How to Start the Jack Hall Gang Treasure Hunt in RDR2

Maximo Cristobal Valdespino is a self-proclaimed explorer dude from whom you should either buy or steal the Jack Hall Gang Map 1. For the record, you should know that you can’t start your treasure hunt without the map. You can find Maximo northwest of Flatneck Station.

When you find him, approach him to start the cutscene. You can buy the map for $10. Negotiate to make the price $5. Or you can hogtie him and steal the map. That’s your call. If you somehow can’t get the map from him, you can later buy it from a Fence.

The Jack Hall Gang Map 1 Location

The Jack Hall Gang Map 1 location is South of the lovely town of Valentine, there’s a rock formation called Caliban’s Seat.

This is not far from where you acquired the first Jack Hall Gang map. Get there. Go to the east side of the hill and scale to the top.

When you see a camp, take the ledge to your right. Follow along. Watch out for the gap. Stop and jump across, or you might miss it and fall to your death. Inside the crevice lie your treasure and the Jack Hall Gang Map 2 that points you towards the next location.

The Jack Hall Gang Map 2 Location

The Jack Hall Gang Map 2 points to Cotorra Springs in Ambarino, north of Fort Wallace, near the train tracks.

You can see the Legendary Wolf icon on the map. Be ready. It might appear and attack you if you haven’t killed it already.

The Jack Hall Gang Map 3 is inside the central stack of rocks, which is located at the west end of the springs area. Search it to get the treasure and the third and final map that leads you to two shiny gold bars.

The Jack Hall Gang Map 3 Location

The Jack Hall Gang Map 3 leads to O’Creagh’s Run, a lake in the Grizzlies East region of Ambarino, north of Emerald Ranch.

Look for the small rocky island in the center of the lake. Swim or ride your horse to reach the island. Make sure your stamina core is full if you want to swim. Search under a loose rock on the island to claim your two hard-earned shiny gold bars.

Pro Tip: If you feel like getting out of the lake, be it by horse or swimming, is a hassle and you don’t want to even bother, save the game and reload. That’s where the magic happens. You’re going to spawn outside the lake. Simple as that.

That’s it for the Jack Hall treasure. Take these to any Fence, like the one at Emerald Ranch, to sell them for $1,000.

I completed this treasure hunt in Chapter 2. It took me about 20 minutes. The jumping part at Caliban’s Seat is the only annoying part. Don’t rush it or you will fall.

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
