Gold Bar Locations

Train Wreck Gold Bars Guide

In the huge world of Red Dead Redemption 2, there are gold bars scattered around for you to collect. That’s, of course, if you know where to look. The train wreck is one example. There you’ll find two shiny gold bars plus other goodies. With that being said, let’s find out how to get them.

Train Wreck Gold Bars Location

To locate the train wreck that has two gold bars in it, you should travel to Cotorra Springs. It’s south of the Wapiti Indian Reservation and west of Bacchus Station.

The Wapiti Indian Reservation is the closest fast travel point to Cotorra Springs, in case you’re wondering. When you reach Cotorra Springs, you should go under the train tracks, as you can see in the picture.

Go through the tracks to spot a train wreck. You can see there’s a vertical train car here in the picture. That’s where the two gold bars are located.

Pass the vertical train car. To your left, there’s a path you can easily miss. Sprint and jump to get to the upper ledge.

Now you can see there’s a gap between the rock you’re standing on and the one that connects to the vertical train car. Sprint and jump to the other side.

Once again, sprint and jump to the upright train car. At the bottom, you can see there are two gold bars for you to collect on a silver platter.

Sell them to any Fence for $500 apiece. There are also some express revolver cartridges and an Aged Pirate Rum. Feel free to grab them if you want.

If you don’t want any headaches, just save the game manually and reload the game. You’ll spawn somewhere out of this train area. If not, just jump out of the window. You can enter the other train car and loot a chest that has a Large Jewelry Bag.

It can be sold to any Fence in the game for $50.

Jason Jenkins

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
