RDR2: The Mended Map (Torn) Treasure Guide

The Mended Map, also known as the Torn Treasure Map, in Red Dead Redemption II is much like the Elemental Trail Treasure hunt. It requires you to go through New Austin, which is forbidden for our beloved Arthur to pass through. So it’s an epilogueonly treasure hunt. With that out of the way, let’s do this.

Torn Treasure Map Treasure Hunt Overview:
Number of Maps: 1 (two halves)
Reward: Otis Miller’s Revolver + Rare Shotgun + 5 (not six) Erotic Photographs

How to Get the Mended Map in RDR2

To get the Mended Map in Red Dead Redemption II, we have to kill two hermits, each of whom has half of the map. Keep in mind that it doesn’t really matter which hermit you get first as long as you get both.

The two hermits are on opposite sides of the map. The male hermit is on the northeast side while the female hermit is on the far west of the map. Get them in any order you want.

Torn Treasure Map 1 Location

To find the Torn Treasure Map 1, travel to the north of Annesburg. The location you’re looking for is Manito Glade.

Over there, the male hermit’s cottage is barricaded with an obvious sign that screams NO TRESPASSING. Ignore the sign, but be cautious, because the hermit will shoot you on sight. Waste him and get inside. Search the drawer and get the first half of the map. Don’t forget to loot the man to get the Rare Shotgun.

Torn Treasure Map 2 Location

The female hermit holds the other half of the torn map. To find the Torn Treasure Map 2 location, head to the far western part of the map. It’s west of the Grizzlies West text on the map.

Simply follow the Little Creek River into the mountain and then you’ll be able to spot her cottage.

Be warned, though. She has three dogs that guard her. Upon seeing you, she will let them loose. Make sure all four are taken care of. Now feel free to get inside and search the drawer to get the second half of the map.

With the map complete, now you can actually go and find Otis Miller’s Revolver.

The Mended Map Treasure Location

Saddle up. You have a long ride ahead of you. Head north of the town of Armadillo. There’s this location called Twin Rocks. West of that location, as shown in the picture here, is a cave.

That’s near Rattlesnake Hollow. Enter the cave to finally get the unique revolver and 6 erotic photographs.

Here’s a quick video of how to get the Otis Miller’s Revolver in Red Dead Redemption II:

For those of you who are wondering, here are the Otis Miller’s Revolver stats:

To be honest, Otis Miller’s Revolver is fine-looking, for sure. It boasts excellent stopping power paired with high accuracy and a rapid fire rate. I highly recommend using it as your primary sidearm.

Jason Jenkins

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
