Who Is the Final Boss in Red Nun’s Legacy?
You are. Susan has to become the Red Nun and burn Villa Ashmann to the ground to stop the horrible cult in there and her own husband from ever hurting anyone again. Near the end of the game, Susan has found Agatha and has to allow her to escape with Sister Lindsey from the horrid fate Angelo had in mind for her.
How to Reach the Final Encounter
After getting all your powers and uncovering the secrets of the villa, you need to find Agatha and Angelo. They are in the
Open the Alchemical Door
The alchemical door can be found in the Noble’s Wing near the reception hall and needs to be opened so you can access the catacombs of the Villa. You will find a note and the exact combination of signs on an Altar wall. (Very discreet of the game 😐 )
The Door has six symbols on it; you need four of them. Go in this order and open the door.
Skull -> Water Drop -> Rising Sun -> Heart. You will also get a Steam trophy for this.
Find the Rope and Pulley in the Catacombs
Entering the catacombs, you find a gate with a pulley system. It is not functional, and you need to fix it.
You need to find a rope and a pulley to fix the gate. The pulley can be found near the metronome save area in the catacombs. Use the secrets in the mirror power (the mirror is hidden behind a cocoon of moths) to reveal the door and find the pulley on a table in that room.
The rope is further down in a cremation room in the catacombs. One of the furnaces is covered by a moth cocoon with a generator next to it. Break the cocoon and find the rope inside.
Rush back to the gate, put the items you have found into the gate mechanism, and open the gate to reach the finale of the game.
Final Encounter Walkthrough
The final encounter is very cutscene and exposition heavy. You have a very long conversation with Angelo in which he reveals his plans, all his moves up to now, and the fact that he is your husband and brother (Did you see the incest coming? I didn’t. Maybe that’s a staple of this series.) Susan learns what she needs to do to save Agatha and destroy Angelo’s plans.
She sends Agatha away to run with Sister Lindsey, whom you find out is Rosemary, the previous protagonist of the series. Susan starts the fire.
The Transformation
The transformation happens as Agatha runs away and Susan lights the gasoline(?) on fire. This turns Susan into the red nun, and all other novices run away at the sight of her. The mark of the final segment of the game: the purge.
How to Defeat the Novices
Killing the Novices in Red Nun form is easy; the actual problem is finding them, as they try to hide from you in the furniture of the villa.
Where to Find the Hidden Novices
There are Novices who escape the Red Nun and hide in different locations; the first one is very easy to find. After killing the first Novice, you see two Novices run left; follow their path, and you find one of them in a closet. Bring her out and enact judgment on her.
The next one hides beneath a sofa, in the room to the right of the big wooden gate in the main yard. Get her out from under the sofa and execute her.
The third one can be found on the other side of the same yard; just go right at the fountain instead of left, and go up the stairs. You’ll find her praying. Finish her as well.
After you kill these 3, the wooden gate will burst open, prompting you to move forward to the ending of Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy.
