Silent Hill Townfall Monsters: Every Enemy and Boss Explained

Silent Hill Townfall’s monsters all feel tied to the St. Amelia disaster and the town’s lingering anger.
The Weight is the big recurring threat that haunts you from the opening to the final boss, while patrol enemies like Axe Faceless, Townsfolk, Faceless Pretenders and Widows, plus a massive Tentacle Giant, keep the pressure on.
You can fight with melee weapons and guns, but ammo is scarce and noise draws more trouble, so stealth is usually the smarter move. Every creature leans into themes of responsibility and loss, making encounters feel personal to Simon’s story.
Know the Monsters:
The Weight
The Weight is basically the big bad that keeps showing up and ruining your day throughout Silent Hill Townfall.
This thing is tied right into Simon’s whole story and that messy St. Amelia disaster, so it’s not just some random horror beast you can ignore.

You run into it multiple times, right at the start, later on, during that tense Hide and Seek bit, again after that, and then of course in the final boss showdown.
From the moment you first meet it in the other world, you know this is the real deal, not some throwaway enemy. As the game goes on it starts feeling less like a pure physical threat and more like the living embodiment of all that guilt and responsibility the survivors are dragging around.
Richard keeps telling Simon he needs to put things to rest and every time The Weight shows up it just drives that point home harder. It’s a major threat, story-focused as hell and the game never treats it like the regular creatures you can just sneak past or shoot and forget.
Axe Faceless

Axe Faceless is one of the first things that try to mess you up once you start exploring. It’s this distorted, faceless humanoid that just patrols around looking for trouble, and the game makes it pretty clear early on that you’ve got limited weapons and health, so stealth is usually your best friend (at least it’s the best friend of mine!)
These guys block paths and sometimes you can just shut a door on them and keep moving. They can disappear once you push past certain sections, which is nice because the game clearly wants some of these encounters to feel like temporary obstacles rather than permanent nightmares.
The Townsfolk

One of the first encounters with these creatures is about a hide and seek game between Mr. Stewart (that one creepy Oldman who turns into a monster) and Zoe.

Zoe (voiced by Kezia Burrows) was supposed to take care of Stewart and suddenly she encounters a satanic creature trying to rip her apart. So, when you see him like that, you should try to hide, find the key and just get out of there. You can’t fight it and you don’t have to.
Later in the game, you’ll see similar monsters like Stewart. They’re not much hard to kill using even melee weapons.
Tentacle Giant

Then there’s the Tentacle Giant, and this one is just massive. During the second loop you suddenly get this huge creature dropping bodies like something straight out of The Mist, and it hits completely different from the smaller humanoid stuff.
It’s clearly tied to the other world and the bigger horror set pieces, but from what I saw it’s more of a scripted encounter than a full traditional boss fight. Still, the sheer size and the way it shows up during a major story beat make it stick with you.
Faceless Pretenders

Faceless Pretenders show up later and feel like another twisted take on the game’s themes of messed-up memories. They’re humanoid, but wrong and their faceless heads are a complete ugly mess. They’re some corpses on the ground who randomly attack you, so be careful when you see them.
Widows

Widows fit right into the whole loss-and-grief vibe the game is pushing. The disaster left so many people dead and families shattered and these creatures feel like the town’s way of wearing that pain on its sleeve.
They’re another part of the enemy roster you’ll run into during the later sections. You can kill them with a gun or melee. But I recommend hiding from these aggressive ladies as much as you can.
The Weight (Final Boss)

The final fight against The Weight is where everything comes together. By this point the story has laid out Simon’s connection to the disaster, and Richard makes it clear the town basically dragged him back so he can face the truth.
This isn’t just another monster scrap, it’s Simon finally dealing with the weight of what happened on St. Amelia, and it feels like the perfect, heavy note to end on.
Can You Kill Monsters
If you’re a beginner or haven’t started Silent Hill Townfall yet, this might be your question. Yes, you absolutely can.
There are melee weapons and firearms, and enemies will go down if you commit to the fight. The catch is that combat is risky as hell, ammo and weapons are limited, gunshots bring more monsters running and the game constantly nudges you toward avoiding fights when you can. Shooting just tends to make everything worse by pulling in more attention, so a lot of the time the smarter move is to stay quiet and keep moving.
