Sovereign Tower All Knights: Stats, Recruits, and Best Picks

There are only 23 Sovereign Tower knights. Each one has very different stats and is suitable for certain quests. Below you will find every knight, their full stat lines, and how to recruit each one. The bad news is your Round Table has a seat limit. So you will not be collecting all knights in a single save. Keep reading to see who is worth the seat.

Note: That is 24 rows for 23 knights. Rufus is The Wolf after Belladonna the Witch lifts his curse, which is why their stat lines, home region, liked quests, and favourite meals all match. He is a transformation, not a recruit.

Victoria is absurd. Her locked sword increases almost all of her stats by 1 to 2 points, and nothing else in the game comes close. Chester is the opposite kind of broken. His stats are random and reroll every single time the game reads them. So pick him if you like gambling.
Daguez has 15 Strength and 0 in the other four stats. Goberto is the worst knight on paper at 12 total, until his Almor armour transformation takes him to 17 max armour and lets him soak damage for everyone else.
How to Recruit Every Knight
Alwena is the fiddly one. She only volunteers when nobody else is available. So send everyone out on 2-cycle quests and leave a seat empty. She also cannot take quests longer than one cycle herself.
| Knight | Act | How to get them |
|---|---|---|
| Angelica | 1 | Starting knight, arrives Cycle 2 |
| Goberto | 1 | Starting knight, arrives Cycle 2 |
| Gwendan | 1 | Starting knight arrives Cycle 3 |
| Ursula* | 1–2 | Resolve the arrest-the-princess storyline, and she returns on her own |
| Dulahan | Any | Let Goberto die |
| Chester | 1 | Finish the Cleankeeper goose contract in Milkford. On part 2, send Gwendan or a knight carrying cheese. When Chester arrives, do not click “You’re Welcome” |
| The Wolf | 1 | Send Angelica specifically on Fight the Werewolf in Almor and tame it |
| Silgur | 1 | Pick Kill the Beast in Groveshire instead of taming or curing it |
| Brunhilda | 1 | Side with Gavault, investigate the taverns, and refuse to arrest her mother |
| Tarcus | 1 | Send knights on Noble investigations in Gavault, then confirm you will stop Brunhilda |
| Arron* | 1–2 | Beat the Dragon Knight, the first real boss fight |
| Gideon* | 2 | He wanders into court on his own. Map Room fallback costs 25 funds |
| Alwena | Any | Have every knight away from the tower with a free seat open, then visit the Round Table |
| Ligia | 2 | Win the lamp quest within its 3-cycle deadline. Expect to rewind once |
| Childeric | 2 | Win the Almor jousting tournament. Do not send Goberto |
| Zolta | 2 | Send Tarcus on Rush in Laik Vallée, then cheat through the Kutnar derby |
| Oliver | 2 | Spare your attacker in the opening instead of executing him. See the FAQ |
| Daguez* | 2–3 | Let a faction’s satisfaction collapse into the people’s revolt, then knight one of them |
| Epicrate | 3 | Win his trial or break him out. If breaking him out, do not send Tarcus |
| Edith | 3 | Ask Countess Medea about a local knight who knows dragons and spells |
| Victoria | 3 | Ask if a knight of her caliber would join, then clear her trials |
| Gothild | 3 | Send a high-Wits knight on Suspect Interrogations until Victoria is implicated |
| Ari | 3 | During the Basalt Isles succession audience, speak with the merchant guilds. Costs 25 funds |
| Rufus | 3 | Not a recruit. With The Wolf on your roster, finish the Groveshire curse-removal quest |
Why You Can’t Get Every Knight in One Run
Your Round Table starts small and grows by one act at a time, but it never grows enough. With more than 20 recruitable knights, some of them are simply not coming home with you this run.
Adding insult to injury is that Act 1 forks. Siding with Arnold sends you down the Groveshire questline; siding with Damian sends you to Gavault, and you cannot do both. Groveshire gates Silgur, The Wolf, and therefore Rufus. Gavault gates Brunhilda and Tarcus. Pick a side, and two or three knights vanish from that save.

The obvious fix is rewinding time, and it does work. But rewinding erases the good branches along with the bad ones. You can lose magical artefacts and entire knights you already met, which is a price too high for chasing one recruit.
There is a third option: uncover Gideon’s past, finish the game, then rerun. That opens both questlines.
Best Knights to Send on Quests
Sending a knight who is too weak for a quest has a penalty, and on the other hand, an over-leveled knight offers bonus rewards. Some quests also hide a special outcome behind a stat threshold. Reach that number, and you get a different result entirely.

Here are the requirements for all quests:
| Quest | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Repel the dragon | Magic 14+ |
| Suspects interrogations | Wits 12+ |
| In search of the gem | Luck 11+ |
| The lich will not return | Magic 10+ |
| A Thesis Thief | Magic 10+ |
| The Vampire of Clovermont | Charisma 10+ |
| Animal bodyguards | Strength 10+ |
| Diplomatic Meeting | Wits 8+ |
| Slugs invasion | Wits 8+ |
| Hydra Hunt | Magic 7+ |
| The Possessed Reverend | Magic 7+ |
| The False Bank | Wits 3 or LOWER |
That last one is my favourite thing in the game. The False Bank fires when your knight is dumb enough, so send Goberto (0 Wits), Dulahan (0), Daguez (0), or Gwendan (3). Sending your smartest knight is the mistake.
One catch: an unexpected outcome is not automatically a good one. Angelica loves animals. So a quest about killing critters might make her the worst pick or the perfect one, depending on whether you want the animals dead.
FAQ
Why can’t I recruit Oliver?
Nobody has cracked this yet. Sparing your attacker in the opening is the agreed precondition, but players report meeting it and still not seeing him past cycle 30. Possibly bugged.
Can knights leave permanently?
Yes. Affinity runs −10 to +10, and at −7 a knight resigns for good. Feeding a knight their favourite meal gives +1.5 affinity, which is usually enough to stop the slide. Alwena and Ari never resign.
Do knights change permanently?
Several do. Goberto’s Almor armour, Arron’s dragon branches and Ursula’s corruption all rewrite statlines for the rest of the run.
